  1. I always enjoy those Iowa corn dews that pop 90+ on the AWOS sites.
  2. Nammy delivering 78° dews up here. That’ll be 81° on the Davis tyvm.
  3. Looks like it got COVID and never recovered
  4. There’s something happenin’ here. What it is ain’t exactly clear
  5. No I’m not talking growing literally. It was a casual reference to about a 5F rise in minima. Obviously it’s deeper than that, but we are not 1970s NJ up here right now. And disagree about the frost season. CON’s growing season has expanded dramatically on both ends.
  6. ISP and BDR have shorter periods of record and lower std devs because of their ocean influence…so not too surprising.
  7. I know what he meant and we’re not there yet. We’ve gained maybe a half growing zone in spots. LWM/BED from the 70s may be a better comparison.
  8. DAW is NJ climo in winter?? Sacramental wine?
  9. Min 64° Kinda sad that that feels refreshing. Hard to believe CON used to average a min of 57° in July.
  10. 56 of LAS's 92 met summer (JJA) daily record highs have been set in the 2000s. I find that wild.
  11. You can dump here https://www.google.com/maps/dir/southborough+ma/Alpenwald+Village,+Vermont+Route+100,+Readsboro,+VT/@42.5301205,-72.2672955,8z/data=!4m8!4m7!1m2!1m1!1s0x89e38a8d9061c671:0xe36506a6c0e2de72!1m2!1m1!1s0x89dd53f91876820d:0xe976f323204371be!3e0?hl=en-us
  12. Highs through 18z. I’d still like a welfare check on the DAW ASOS. 94°?
  13. Nah. Plenty of cold season grass. The crabgrass is next door where they cut it about a half inch tall and it goes dormant in Napril.
  14. Hope so. Maybe the grass will start growing again.
  15. A carrier if they’re bit by a rabid animal. And I think they can only spread it if the disease is active. These were all babies born nearby this spring and none have shown signs of the disease. I’m not actively trying to be friends with them, but they want the mealworms in the driveway that my chickens don’t finish and the “friendly” one has been creeping out of the woods a little before sunset now to get some worms early while my chickens are still free ranging. So I try to feed it away from them to keep it occupied. It isn’t ideal, but it hasn’t shown aggression toward me or the birds. It just wants that mealy crack.
