A bit more haze and clouds than yesterday Wind: 209° (SSW)

73/ 67 and a but hazy. More low - mid 90s (more west) as we have a southerly / SSE component to the wind and SE at times. Flow comes more around SSW Fri and the weekend with mid / upper 90s possible. 850 mb temps surge Sun ahead of the front, which with enough sun could yield the hotter/hottest day. Can alreday see clouds on the periphery of the ridge into Ohio. Storms Fri pm and throughout Sat - clouds could get in the way of continuing the heatwave Sat, but enough sun would extend it for those west of the hudson. A brief cooldown Mon (6/24) - Tue (6/5) with a return to overall warmer by Wed. Overall above normal with some heat mixed in - Euro going hotter so grain of salt says continued with the theme of +3 - +6 for now up and through the end of the next week and the month.

74 / 65 SSW slowly crawling around more to an onshore component as the ridge center builds over MD/NJ. Flow is aiming similar boatloads of rain into TX that southrn Fl had last week. Warmer spots to 90 (again) others near 90. Tomorrow is the strongest onshore flow so coastal and eastern / south coasts cooler/ inland sizzle. Thu/Fri flow more sw with the hottest temps of the week. Storms /clouds could keep it below 90 on Sat. Sun interestingly with enough clearing could be the hottest day of the period. Continues hot Mon. Cooler as trough swings through 6/27 - 6/30. Beyond there looks more warm/humid.

Not sure if the park cold get to 25+ days even in a pattern like 2010, 1993 these days with the overgrowth which was the last time the park had more than 25 90 days.

The tornado is rated EF2, with winds between 111 and 135 mph.

73/59 and the hotter period commences as the ridge builds in. Warmer spots start a heatwave today, most others tomorrow. Easterly flow around center of the strong/record ridge keeps the area on the fringe of the record heat Tue/Wed with most highs low to mid 90s coastal/metro areas but increased DT's keep it feeling oppressive. Flow comes around more SW by Thu and 850 MB temps 19c - 22C should allow near record or record challenging highs mid upper 90s in the warmer spots. First shot at showers/storms as weak front nudges down the ridge Fri night (6/21) and Sat (6/22), but still hot. GFS has closed low near GA/SC which could be of interest if stuck or caught undercutting ridge late week. Stronger push of heat Sun (6/23) and Mon (6/24) ahead of the stronger front and trough push more high heat and humidity. Brief reprieve from the heat before ridging builds back later in the month.
