The Western Atlantic Ridge is expanding west by the middle of the week Tue (8/2) and Wed (8/3) which will merge with the Rockies / Plain ridge at tmes. A warm to hot to at times very hot pattern from 8/2 and onward. Strong heat this weed Wed (8/3) through Fri (8/6) with 850 mb temps >18c , peaking at >21C. A more southerly flow will pump the humidity next weekend Sat (8/6) and offer a more Florida style pattern with storms , warm and humid. Beyond there overalll continues warm as the Rockies / Plains Ridge rebuilds and more heat is ready to spread east by the The (8/11).

Down to 62 and now 81. Much more clouds than yesterday and only clouds will get in the way of more 90s in the warm spots today.

Up to a very comfortable 90 / 54 here , breeze and just golden out. Less than an inch here for the month for rainfall and that looks to stick through sunday night. Is there a fall flooding on the horizon - id bet yes.

Agree about the evolution of the ridge. It look Monday still looks to be the next chance for rain / storms as warm front begins moving through and setting the stage for the next roasting. By Tue (8/2) the Western Atlantic ridge is building way west and eventually joins the Rockies/Plains Ridge by the middle of the Week Wed (8/3) and Thu (8/4) with a blast of strong heat coming in by next Fri (8/5) and through next weekend as it looks now, with the euro bringning in >20c 850 temps at times. The ridge contracts and resurges into the week of Mon (8/8) with overall a hot pattern to at times strong heat. Still some details to be worked out that could foster storms around the rim of the ridge and Ridge could build over and force onshore or NE flow at times to keep it just warm to hot on days. But overall dog days of summer and some of the hottest Aug temps sustained since 2015 or more.

Made it down to 69, Now up to 80 / 57 and gorgeous summer and beach weather. The warmer / drier spots have a shot at 90 today and tomorrow, otherwise sunny and just spectacular these next two days to close the month. Clouds will likely hinder more 90s

Up to 80 / 69 0.09 in the bucket and hoping for more later today. Clouds in the way of additonal 90s, could be close in the warm spots. Some storms and rain chances later this evening and perhaps overnight. The weekend looks marvelous, warm less humid and again the drier / warmer spots should make it near or to 90 otherwise mid/upper 80s elsewhere. Warm front coming through on Monday could see more clouds and storm chances but nothing widespread as of now. Beyond there The Western Atlantic Ridge is expanding west again and merges with the Rockies and Plain ridge by the middle of next week Wed (8/3). Overall warm to hot pattern and humid with bursts of strong heat into the end of next week and beyond . Dog days ahead. Euro blasts 820 temps >18c by Thu (8/4)and near or >20c by next weekend Fri (8/5) - Sat (8/6) and Sun (8/7)

0.19 in the bucket, progress. Up to 80 / 74 as more heat and humidity move in the next 35 hours. With the heat and humidity will come more storm chances Thu and more so Fri afternnoon and night. Where its clear temps will race to the low 90s today and Friday (7/29). The weekend looks very nice - warm and dry Sat (7/30) should see clearing in the morning and temperatures both days mid / upper 80s with the usual warm spots potentially exceeding 90. Next week opens warm and dry and 90s in the warmer spots before the Western Atlantic Ridge builds west again and connects with the Rockies and Plains ridge by the middle of next week pushing heights up with a major ridge from the Rockies into the northeast. Strong heat potential by Thu (8/3) into next weekend and beyond. Have to see if the ridge builds over the top and we get a day or few of onshore flow before the heat blats back west. Overall warm to hot and at times storng heat into the way out there and beyond.
