  2. 75 / 70. Some breaks of colouds. Today was one of those could be sneaky warm with enough sun. More rain / storms later today and Tue (9/13) before clear dry and a bit cooler Wed (9/14) and Thu (9/15). Warmup as ridge builds in this weekend - heights rise and temps do in the (9/17) - 9/22 period with late season heat possible especially in the warmer spots. Looking like an overall warm last 10 days of the month beyond the 21st.
  3. 39years ago record heat in 1983 in the area with mid / upper 90s. EWR: 99 (1983) Record lows still in the mid 40s.
  4. 73 / 65 and cloudy. Ridge forcing trough and front from advancing much with scattered rain today. Storms and chances of showers the next two days Mon (9/12) and Tue (9/13) before front clears the coast. Dry out and clear up by Wed (9/14) with cooler through Fri (9/16). RIdge rebuilds into the East with rising heights by the weekend Sat (9/17), with chance for late season warmup and late season heat (90s) especially in the warmer spots 9/18 - 9/22 period. Overall warmer to close the last 10 days of the month.

  6. 81 / 52 off a low of 52. Split weekend, dry, mainly sunny and warm today - low/ mid 80s a few isolated upper 80s in the warm spots with a mainly onshore / srly flow. Ridge tight along the east coast as front crawls later Sun (9/11) - Wed (9/14) with rain chances. Brunt of the rain north and west as cut off head into the NE. Front clears through Wed and Thu (9/15). Rockies ridge pushes east and heights rise into the east with a warmer return by next weekend. Next shot at late season heat, especially for the warmer spots in the 9/17 - 9/21 period. Oevrall warmer finish to the month.

  8. 68 / 57 and bright sunshine. Onshore flow continues with a bit warmer result today and warmer Saturday, looking low / mid 80s. Some of the warmer places may get to upper 80s. Ridge is slow to give way long the east coast and trough and front slow to move out between later Sun (9/11) and Tue PM (9/13) and Wed (9/14). Beyond there the Rockies ridge is forces east and heights rise into the east by the end of next week. Next shot at late season heat in the 9/17 - 9/21 timeframe, in the warmer spots and an overall warmer second half of of tthe month on tap.
  9. 67 / 59 and sun shining. Cleared out and drying out. Onshore flow keep temps capped near or at 80 for most. Ridge builds into east coast starting Fri (9/9) and through the weekend with onshore or southerly flow. The weekend looks very good , warm low mid 80s wth perhaps a few warmer spot upper 80s on sat. Ridging is stubborn along the EC as the Rockies ridge is anchored out west. In between a front and trough cuts off and is slow to push through the east and into the north east Tue (9/13) - Wed (9/14) with out next shot of rain. Mon (9/12) depending on clouds and any spotty showers could be sneaky warm. Beyond there the Rockies ridge is forced east and rising heights into the east towards the end of next week and weekend with next shot of late season heat (especially for the warmer spots) in the 9/17 - 9/21 period.
  10. 68 / 63 with 0.80 in the bucket (so far). Clouds and showers today, clearing by later today or by sunset. Warmer / drier by Thu (9/8). Ridge builds along the coast by Fri (9/9) and into the weekend with onshore / southerly humid flow. Warm with 80s for most this weekend. Rockies Ridge still locked in through the weekend with tropical storm Kay perhaps bringing some rains and breezes to Southern California (it don't rain n southern california) By Sunday night the front approaching from the GL/OV and bumping up against the ridge nd crawls east cutting off. Mon (9/12) - Wed (9/14) the next rain opportunity. Beyond there- the Rockies ridge is forced east as a deep trough pushes into the WC, this will build heights into the EC by later next week and perhaps next shot for some late season heat and an overall warm look to the second half of the month.
  11. SOme breaks in the clouds here now and a lull before some more rain later this evening.
  12. About 0.41 here (so far) light rain.
  13. Mets should play today and probably should have played Monday. Yanks look to be postponed for certain.
  14. 73/70 0.19 in the bucket and moderate rain. Looking like an area wide 1 - 3 (+) inches for most some places could exceed that. Clear things out ater Wed. Thu (9/8) back to sunshine and drying things out. Western Atlantic Ridge builds west by the end of the week and this weekend with more southerly flow and humid. Temps look maxed in the 80s. Front approaches from the GL by Mon (9/12) and is slow to clear and depending on the position of the ridge along the east coast could produce more soaking rains Mon - Wed (9/14) next week. Perhaps more north of the area. Beyond there the Rockies ridge looks to relocate more east into the Plains and heights rise along the EC. Looks like an overall warmer second half for Sep,

  18. In the middle of a late season heatwave 4 years ago (2018) just a year after the cold (2017) labor day with many upper 40s/low 50s. 1985 also late season heat.
  19. It will be interesting to see and track, but the Rockies Ridge may be forced east by the middle of next week and setup more ridging towards the end of next week / next weekend (mid month) timeframe 9/16.
