Been that way all winter, but poor verification. Was the same for yesterday's event, but didn't verify. Similar totals NS LI to coastal CT.
Mostly, they haven't verified because the CT side forecasts have fizzled to zero.
North Smithtown, NY totals:
4.7" snowfall
0.65" LE (does not include precipitation that fell today after 12 pm)
Most of the snow fell between 31° and 32°.

Over 2" here. Haven't measured in a bit. The street just got plowed. That ends the plow-futility streak.
PS word on the street is that at 1am, Central Park will report a trace.
Not sure if this link will work (IG story);

I'm not so sure about that. We're closer to the cold air source than ABE. It does seem like some sleet mix is inevitable at times, especially during lighter precip. Also, developing coastal may help more here than at ABE Fingers crossed.
I've been getting my fix in the Whites. It's snowing again today in Glen, NH. This coming week is gonna be good for snow up here. Mixed feelings about heading home, but at least I won't miss Mondays event.
One time that I strayed there when I was still in school was to see S&G on 9/19/81. On the way home that night I met a girl. We are still together.
