  1. Steady light snow in Damascus
  2. I get those critters in my yard all the time. I expect I’ll see them playing in the snow and rain before the end of the week.
  3. I got you. I’m fairly confident we (north of DC) will do better than 95% rain, but I certainly wouldn’t be shocked or disappointed if it turned out that way. We need the precipitation.
  4. So IMBY I should expect roughly .09 of frozen and 1.5” rain over the next 7 days
  5. 2” in Damascus edit: I’m just looking at what is in the patio, not a snowboard measurement
  6. Some nice mood flakes falling
  7. Lol… How’s it going? I have not measured, but closing in on 5” In guessing. Not much snow has fallen in Damascus since around 9am
  8. After 40m of pixie dust, there is about .25” in my patio- not one flake wasted! ☃️
  9. That’s awesome! It’s about time! I’m not sure how much rain fell in Damascus, but I’m guessing at least 3”.
  10. I’m glad there is rain hitting your area as well. It has been more like heavy rain with occasional periods of very light rain here.
  11. I didn’t see a NWS warning. I’m in the north side of Damascus.
  12. Damascus has been hit with waves of heavy rain. The yellows have been very heavy. I’m about 2 mi from the HoCo border.
  13. Waves of heavy rain have been training through.
  14. Interesting radar…it’s pouring on the northeast side of Damascus
  15. Perhaps he should be invited back to Americanwx
  16. It’s snowing lightly here. Even got a dusting in the ground.
  17. Approaching .75" ... the Little Engine that Could... maybe?
  18. Lol! New Ji come out to DTC on Saturday and I’ll buy you a beer! (I know… banter)
  19. Greetings fellow weather enthusiasts, I have been lurking, and occasionally posting on this board since the eastern weather days. I had the pleasure of meeting some of you frequent contributors a few years back in Rockville, MD. Regardless of the periodic drama that occurs between posters, there is no better place to be informed and learn about meteorology, and I am very grateful to all of you who regularly, or occasionally, post your thoughts and analysis. Thank you! For those of you who reside in MoCo, I would like to invite you to come to Down Town Crown Beer and Wine this coming Saturday. I will be performing music there (I perform there every first Saturday of the month) and I would love to connect with and talk weather with like minded people- especially on the eve of a potential storm. Now if the wheels fall off the bus, I would still love to meet some MoCo weather weanies!
  20. Thank you for the more detailed response. I appreciate you time. I see what you mean based on the last map you posted. Hopefully, there will be enough cold air for 95 east to get in on the action, but a rain/ snow line setting up near the 95 corridor seems fairly typical. Happy New Year.
