  1. It is absolutely possible, albeit unlikely, that Tidewater will not get a good event. This is the weather and until the snow is on the ground unlikely things can and will happen.
  2. From the vantage point of Lynchburg, I'd love an 8" storm for there and for Richmond and it would be great if at least NOVA would get 6". But what I want or wish does not influence the weather...
  3. ^Hopefully that would mean good ratios if the other factors are in line for snow growth.
  4. Need it to get cranking earlier. Why can't we have a NC-MD special and the NE can fend for themselves?
  5. ^Haha. Of course, we know that's not a forecast but rather what comes from one output of a model run. But I would love a region-wide KU, including North Carolina and MD.
  6. Exactly. Five inches of snow total in Lynchburg. More snow to our west, east, north and way down south. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  7. I know this is sacrilege, but for some of us some things are better than snow but snow makes everything better. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  8. It was nice to see Terry not caught from behind. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  9. They have no answers for Gibbs. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  10. I hope one day JD5 gets the Mahomes treatment from the refs. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  11. But what's the angle of the dark? Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  12. I'm just shocked the Chiefs benefited from a questionable call like that... Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  13. -31 in the Shenandoah Valley. I'll take the under on that. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  14. That was a disappointment for Lynchburg getting two inches as well. Better than nothing but we need a real storm now. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  15. I'm really happy for the Richmond folks doing well in this storm. I lived in that area for ten years and it killed me in 2010 when the DC area got obliterated with snow. I lived 40+ years in Arlington. Now living in the Lynchburg area for 8.5 years it really hasn't been better than Richmond. The snow game is a cruel mistress in the mid-Atlantic.
  16. It will likely be mostly sleet if it's similar to the progression in Lynchburg. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  17. This is my first Pixel after being with Samsung and Motorola before that. I'm enjoying it so far. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  18. I'm from Arlington. I lived there for 40+ years. Snow envy is real. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  19. 30" on the GFS for the next system for DC. If that happens and Richmond and Lynchburg get 1/5 of that... Sigh. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  20. Glad you got that. That nice slug of moisture went south of Lynchburg so just flurries here. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  21. I confess to snowdenfreude. If my area isn't going to get snow then those who always dump on other areas shouldn't get as much snow as them, so sad. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  22. You all should always want Short Pump in the bullseye for as long as possible. No wiggle room to the south often leads to sadness in the DMV. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  23. Not that what we want matters in the least, but DC folks should always want the wiggle room to the south. All too often they're like they're still good. Until they're not. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  24. Even the ones with solid meteorological knowledge are susceptible to in my backyard bias in analysis and hope casting. It's the very nature of being a weenie. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  25. If the offense substitutes, the defense gets a chance to match it but it seems like it's being exploited at times. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk
