Cloudy, cold, but today we get out of the deep freeze with temps a 31 for a high. 10-day forecast showing temps near 50 for a day or so right before Valentine's Day.

IMBY, we got 6" or so. The dry air took some time to overcome, it would seem.

Probably a good idea. Watching radars in the region to see how it develops.

Watching developments for S OH with trepidation. NAM shows 8-10”. All others GFS, HRRR, RAP, and Euro show in excess of 12” up to 22”. I fear the NAM may be on to something. I hope I’m wrong.

It looks like the storm maybe struggling to overcome the dry air in S OH. “Future radar” showing snow not starting here in KILN until very late in the day.

I was living in Fort Worth, TX for the 2021 storm. They had planned "rolling blackouts" to conserve the grid. First rolling blackout came at about 3am, there was nothing rolling about it. It was off for 12 hours, came back on long enough to get the house warmed up a little, and then go out again. I don't wish prolonged power outages on anyone.

That's what it looks like. First snowstorm for me in a couple of years. (I was in TX for the Feb '21 debacle.) Nebraska winters were boring when I was out there. My wife is from the Dayton area, we moved out here to be as close as possible to her father. NE of Cincy here. Currently on leave from work, so I get to just sit and watch the snow as it comes down. BTW - KILN calling for 7"-11"

Yep. NE burb of Cincinnati, moved here in September.

That would be something. Temps for the weekend don't get above 20, and are single digits in the overnight.

I have seen several maps showing over 10” for KILN, felt that the totals were overdone. I may have been wrong in that assessment.

Changing my 2”-4” to 6”-8” for Cincinnati. Meanwhile two of my sons are prepping down in TX for what looks like repeat of 2021. (I was there for that one)
