  1. 33 imby and no frost this morning, and made it up to 48 this afternoon
  2. Thank you! I appreciate your insider tip! I hope to be up that way Sunday and will message you I look forward to the first miller a of the year that usually happens around halloween. While it's still too early for most, it kicks off the best time of the year

  4. Woke up to the first 30's imby with a crisp 38 degrees
  5. I hope this winter is a 2010-11 repeat and we all get sick of shoveling snow
  6. You don't live up north now, most of our winters are a disaster so get used to it You got more snow than I did so shush it mister Most snow to fall in one day during recent years in Raleigh Inches Date Centimetres 2.5 February 20, 2020 6.4 trace November 12, 2019 + trace 7.0 December 09, 2018 17.8 0.5 January 07, 2017 1.3 1.2 January 22, 2016 3.0 3.2 February 26, 2015 8.1 3.3 February 12, 2014 8.4 0.7 February 16, 2013 + 1.8 0.9 February 19, 2012 2.3 0.4 February 10, 2011 1.0 6.7 December 26, 2010 17.0
  7. It could end up like that, but I'm leaning towards something similar to last year with nina to neutral as we head into spring. Also, there is no drought here
  8. Some years the pool is good all year, minus a couple weeks in Jan I've done the pelican plunge a few times Jan 1st on Hunting Island and even the ocean temps aren't that bad
  9. Managed a high of 66 degrees after a morning low of 42. What a perfect day
  10. 42 degrees of weather perfection this morning imby
  11. ^^^^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ With another reinforcing front a few days later, giving us a beautiful stretch of fall weather to take us into November
  12. 59 overnight with a high of 85 The front can't get here fast enough
  13. Which was still better than the torch of the past few years. We live in the south, outside of the mountains, and nobody should ever be expecting to play in a winter wonderland, let alone to play for most of the season. I've had 9" of snow overnight that was gone by 10am the next day. It's the south. Enjoy it while it lasts.
  14. We've scored some pretty good storms during a la nina Last year was classified as a nina and we were wetter than usual and had no real heat. No, we didn't cash in(although some did much better than others), but it was hands down the best year for opportunities we've had in quite sometime. Are you sure you're not related to @WidreMann? You've said this every year for at least the past decade regardless. This is the south. We take our chances and hope for the best and don't expect endless opportunities (although it would be nice). What we do get, is a shot or 3 at something frozen to play in. This isn't the NE or even the MA and sharing the channeling by your inner Eeyore from Sept to March, every single year for a decade, becomes really annoying.
  15. Yasssssss!!! It's going to be absolute perfection
  16. Indeed! I'm looking forward to a couple of day trip at minimum. It's a beautiful fall color year
  17. The next two weeks looks like perfect leaf peeping weather
  18. That's a beautiful orange sulpher butterfly
  19. Total rainfall for the week imby was a whopping 7.46" It was a beautiful, warm and sunny saturday with a high of 79 after a low of 64
