Solak,
Big time wind damage event looks pretty likely for North GA. Looks like the whole forum is going to get some action this time. I read WxSouth who is honking Tornadoes but NWS says QLCS with wind damage due to north to south orientation down here.
True, never let your guard down but from this map I see GA and WNC being the most under the gun in the forum. Dynamics must be much less impressive for central and eastern NC on Sunday. It could change but I bet NE GA and WNC have maximum heating and dynamics coming together. West Central GA may benefit from morning timing and escape the worst. That said with enough dynamics, timing in West Central GA won’t matter.
Atlanta :
Thursday was the earliest 80 degree reading in a year since records began in the late 1800’s. That 80 degrees broke the daily record by 8 degrees and was nearly ten days earlier than the last earliest 80 degree day.
Zippo.
Got plastered December 17. I guess this is the balance. I can see a few more blanks before another decent score. I sure hope we get another storm. All I ask for is one per year. I’m not greedy....
All good things...the chances of a wintery wonderland are increasing for a lot of us. Another board member around me was mentioning next weekend looks like a promising deal for north GA. Could be the same for NC. Guess we will see!
Looks like ATL finishes with over 70 inches of rain and a second place all time for rainfall in a year. Would take about 71.45 to finish number 1. There is rain coming through tonight but doesn’t look to be quite enough for a number one finish.
Found a woolly worm just chillin in my garage. He was black, brown, black. Tried to post a photo but it was too big to upload.
Who hop can decipher this folklore? Cold, warm, cold?
