  1. It really is. As much as I've come to hate being cold, I still want a thousand feet of snow.
  2. Thursday A slight chance of snow before 10am, then a chance of rain and snow between 10am and 1pm, then snow likely after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. West wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Thursday Night Snow. Low around 30. West wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Friday Rain, possibly mixed with snow. High near 38. West wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
  3. And I will be walking to Tamaqua (because my Hyundai Elantra would die as it hydroplanes on mirages and gets stuck in flizzards) to bury him in it.
  4. I would kill somebody for a chance to get snowed in for a weekend in Jim Thorpe. Phrasing. I don't care. Dig him up, I'll get stuck in him, too. But there's this Harold Potter themed coffee shop in town by the gorge that makes incredible sugar-laced drinks and biscuits and all that, and the thought of getting snowed in and achieving blood sugar 900 on that crap is peak how I want to die.
  5. The kiss of death. Preparing a utensil for snow removal.
  6. The public is about to begin pounding the Wx community with "the ground is too warm."
  7. The ATMs are quickly being engineered to swap money for chips for the public as a whole. https://www.yahoo.com/news/winter-storms-forecast-to-hit-much-of-us-as-americans-gear-up-for-thanksgiving-travel-153348410.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAGnJaDwM1zGG9iV1A8J-nkCRriIh-M6T7G7eY-08caanFaPL-nxtUE0KO3vZSQRdyjoxu9xBmgx6qvpR3e9gzYYFd-NtdsoeTpqLd1wyGLZClyW2Qgw1AYdWNo6TMwvcTQpv7WTRtJWT_Iiq-3UPqxWl62xtKBzOP8jVuAgtBRB9
  8. Maybe he told a moderator to kiss his ass. Always ends well.
  9. Well I didn't mean that to poo poo the excitement, but to illustrate how frustrating it's been for just about everyone.
  10. With the collective blue balls of the forum as a whole, I wouldn't be shocked if the entire website goes into Storm Mode over what would otherwise just be "Friday."
  11. Been a few years since we had a snow storm around Thanksgiving. 2015? We're probably due.
  12. Yuuuuuuuuup But if there's a storm, I'd prefer snow.
  13. The likelihood of an SEC team coming north before Christmas now likely hinges on not dropping the soap in Minneapolis next week. Assuming all things go as they should, I'm going to be riding HARD on Mr. Elliott's call for a rough stretch around Christmas. Inject Georgia walking into a subzero whiteout directly into my veins. And then pull some Iowa shit and somehow misplaced the visitor's bench warmers.
  14. Juniata and West Branch Susky are the same. I'm assuming there's riverbed that is currently exposed that hasnt been in decades.
  15. A very cold rain here today. It's 40°F and raining. Pretty miserable even though the rain is very needed. Damned shame it's not like four degrees colder.
  16. This is like the Nuclear Power Plant Warning that EAS nerds bust out on their YouTube videos. I've never seen that headline before.
  17. Forty-two and dark here. I really thought I'd see the first flakes of the season today. Not to be.
  18. Has anybody else noticed their furs eating a ton more than normal lately? I have a three-year-old Golden Retriever who is a thicco, probably 115 lbs and a two-year-old Australian Shepherd who is maybe 45 lbs, and I have been going through 14 lb bags of kibble in less than a week, which is a lot more than what they normally consume, and is more than their previous cold season consumption in previous years. The Aussie may simply just be growth, but the Golden has been grown for a bit. Kinda makes me wonder if they know something I don't and are trying to cultivate some additional mass for a longer slug of a season.
  19. That's my kind of fun. Until some drunk gets caught fuckin a turkey.
  20. Nooners: Frost remains on shaded parts of ground. 40 and sunny.
  21. Do people actually do that? I know high schools in the Allentown area do, but I have never in my life actually witnessed a Turkey Bowl.
