  1. My son did the other day ( mostly to clear room in his closet). I tried to tell him
  2. If I get thundersnow in May I will be satisfied with this season
  3. What the heck are you eating? Today was around $260 and I bought some fancy Mickey Bars.
  4. If snow covers the lawn for a couple of days and then melts, once you see it again it has grown two days longer?
  5. Some decent squalls and graupel should come through in a bit So nasty out despite May sun
  6. Got 10 days worth of groceries for 5 (4 adults 1 teen) by 8:30. No lines. No muss. No fuss. Nice squall when I came out. The wind is strong
  7. That’s harsh. May accumulating snow here seems to happen every 15-20 years.
  8. That 2/2/76 gale is insane. Makes Tip’s Fox Hall event seem tame
  9. Just was pondering what event have shaped my weather views. This is a pretty thread but here are 5 of mine (no particular order) Rocktober 2011 Snowstorm (22” here) April Fools Blizzard (36”) 1997 Hurricane Gloria 2008 Ice Storm 1978 Blizzard 4 feet, Hurricane winds Go!
  10. Yup. Thanks. I deleted it myself when I realized that there is this thing called Google or something. I appreciate it. I read up on that storm. Pretty amazing stuff
  11. A tiny, depraved minority. A huge majority are psyched
  12. That's pretty sick that they routinely get 100+ mile vis there
  13. It was a sinister decision. He knew when that band would rotate in and rot...he timed his measurements to take advantage of this...very very unscrupulous
  14. Maybe people can put in their reports if it was a 6 hour measurment or ruler in the snow at the end measurement...
  15. March has definitely more than made up for much of January and almost all of February. Those constant rainers and icing and 80F were seemingly sending this winter into F level...March has brought it up quite a bit Imagine if that first storm was snow?
  16. All this and the Bruins won...almost take some of the sting out of the Patriots today
  17. One year we had a couple of cement snows and every store in the area ran out of them. I have always kept spares since, but have rarely needed them
  18. You will never see that again methinks. Glad it was in the age of digital photos, Internet, etc.
  19. This top layer of fluff here, it underneath it is pretty dense and waterlogged
