  1. That seems to be showing up more and more but I don't know if most people actually want that. I love when it is on a weekend, but whatevs. My area looks to be pretty wet this evening. So far our town is still proceeding with it happening. Too bad the wind wasn't earlier that would be fun (unless a branch falls on someone)
  2. I know they wouldn’t postpone trick or treating when I was a kid but I don’t recall doing it in the rain much. Maybe we just stayed home or I got lucky. my town is still on for tomorrow. I expect to have a lot of extra candy Friday morning

  4. They used to house the National Plastic Museum before it went defunct. A lot of the nation’s early plastics industry was there.
  5. Several local cities have postponed trick or treating until Saturday. FIT and Plastictown
  6. It never rains on a Saturday. It does seem like it has rarely rained on Halloween for a while. I do recall it raining on Oct 31, 2001 though
  7. Still looking like decent showers to steady rain for Halloween. That's too bad. Probably the last one for my kid.
  8. It’s not like it is a deep winter birthday. Hopefully you live long enough that it happens.
  9. He tweeted that this morning. Haven’t seen an update
  10. Looks like we got a few hundredths of an inch of rain last night
  11. It’s been a pretty low humidity autumn so maybe that is helping elevated areas get cooler? Just spitballing
  12. ORH temps seem to follow mine pretty closely, maybe a degree or two warmer some days. Similar elevation. I know they don’t radiate well though so maybe their lows on rad days are too low?
  13. I wouldn’t buy anything for a week or so. But my hunch is Slightly AN for the week around Halloween.
  14. 32F here for my low. We got colder two weeks ago for two straight mornings. But good for the bugs I hate
  15. As of last night, 95% of the town of Petersham, MA still had no power. Any thoughts as to why the town’s NW of ORH got hit pretty hard? Elevation? Just the amount of trees? Orange, Athol, Royalston, Barre, Hubbardston etc The airports didn’t seem overly windy Orange had one gust of 49mph
  16. Can’t even get my road to be decent never mind burying cables. Strange thing is that the part of my road that is a disaster has buried cables. Lol
  17. That is nutso. Since our 2008 ice storm, I have lost power 1 time for about 14 hours (after a lightning strike). One other for a few hours from a transformer blowing and maybe a few brief outages due to cars into poles etc. Considering the wooded area I am in and the decent winds/snow/ice I am a bit surprised. As a kid, we only lost power a few times that I recall. Blizzard of 1978 and Gloria are all that come to mind.
