    That feature in the Dakotas on the GFS seems to be the big difference... pulling the bigger storm west a bit. I'm thinking it loses this soon

    Horrible news regarding the avalanche near Donner Pass. Looks like 9 backcountry skiers and their guides are still missing. Probably dead at this point

    At least this isn’t (right now) a narrow sliver of precip. There should be good moisture to work with. Need the thermals to cooperate
