Snowing on top of Killington per webcam

Steve posting this link last year. It updates every 5 minutes. Logan has been holding at 71.6F. What a run. 70F yesterday to a low of 64F and back up to 71 or 72. 59F wind SW 15mph mostly sunny Weather Underground site 5 mile to my northeast is 43 with a NE wind. Will be interesting to watch temp over the next few minutes Reached 60.6F a little while ago. Beat yesterdays 58.4F

56.7F Cold front looks to be about 25 miles northeast of me Just getting back on the boards since signing off early last evening. What was Boston's low? I have to check. Wow. I absolutely didn't think I would loose my pack. It was a glaciated 8" pack before this torch. 2 pictures below. 230pm yesterday and just now. The strong SW wind and sun plus a high of 58 did it. Still snow in the woods all around me but it's going fast. Sun about to come out

57.1F ! for a 730pm temp at 1100 feet in Central NH is quite a feat. Usually happens with fog and rain with a cutter but not all day with partly cloudy skies 3" left at snowstake. Tomorrow AM might be fun to take a road trip 15 or so miles and some crazy gradient in temperature. Dot's represent approx location of Brian and me

Clouds have come back in. My high was 58.4F high wind gust so far 42mph 4" snow depth but it's getting thin on south facing slopes. Here's a question. Obviously dews and sunshine aid in snowmelt. Wonder how much wind helps melt a pack. Guess a 20mph wind blowing on snow would melt it faster than calm conditions.

Will one thing to remember is that for most of Boston's records weren't they taken in Boston Common? So perhaps high temperatures in the past were aided by that? Even if Logan's temperatures run high perhaps a strong southwest wind over the cooler water around the tarmac would temper that??

58.2F will be my high Winds in the 20's gusting into the low 40's 4" on snowstake just starting to show

54.5F Partly cloudy SW gusting to 37 Snowpack down 1/2" in past 4 hours down to 5"

53F Partly cloudy. Wind is gusting SW at 27mph. Time to wash the cars of all this salt

49/46F Heavy drippage Lots of blue to the west. Snowstake is down to 6"

Warming up on the hill. Up to 38F 8" at the snowstake. 40's tomorrow and 50's for a few hours Sunday. Bets on if I will have any bare spots? This snow has so much water content. Without sun I just don't see how we are going to melt much of this.

I bet you don't loose your pack. You go above 40F for 36 hours and probably never hit 50F. Storms lined up for next week. You'll be fine. I doubt I loose my pack either but hopefully a few bare patches for my herd of deer

It will be interesting to see what happens right in my neck of the woods. Warm air looks to get almost up to me and then the backdoor cold tries to come in. Low 40's tomorrow and then the run air really tries to make it in for a few hours. Would not mind to melt the ice dams forming on the house and melt some of this snow. 60's will be so close yet so far

Nice nippy January day. Mid teens look to be the high for me. Waiting on Euro to see ice potential for later this weekend.. I'm still excited about Brian's squall last night. I'm watching that CAD signature in my area. Like Brian said don't need a 31F ZR event. So many times I just hang on with cold air coming from the northeast. Meanwhile a nippy day 13.3F at noon

I made a timelapse for a part of last evening with the streamer just to my south. It's kind of hard to see (best viewed in a dark area) but you can see the snow reflecting off the lights and the moon lighting up the top of the clouds. Don't you have that durable sleet/snow underneath from last week? A 2 day torch is not going to get rid of that very easily

Brian, that is great. That might be a lifetime top 10 event for you? 1.5" for me 1.9" from a Coop observer friend in Bristol NH about 5 miles south of me and a 6.9" for you another 10-12 miles south of him. Just a real WOW.

With the bright moon the webcam is picking up the snow squall passing just south of me
