Another wonderful April day in NNE.
34.5F at noon with occ. flurries and a gusty wind. Third day in a row of snow in the air.
Most of the snow has melted below 1500 feet.
Now you see it, now you don't
Today's weather condensed into 30 seconds. Lots of snow showers today but bit too warm for it to stick!

Question for you guys from a friend of mine down in Maryland. Had a few flurries in the air this morning. Nothing accumulated. Would technically if something was observed in the air between hourly obs would it go down as a trace for the day?
31.9" Light to moderate snow. Getting close to 2" of heavy paste. Pines and birches starting to really bend. Snow should stop just in time before the wind comes in. Another couple of inches would result in power outages. Good luck to my friends further north and east.
I have been watching this storm for days wondering if I would cash in on some heavy snow at the end. I was always on the thin line between snow and no snow. My coating has worked out
32.4F Moderate snow vis 1/2 mile
40.5F Moderate to heavy rain. .95" in the stratus
With the first burst of rain earlier there were some cat paws too. Then just plain moderate to heavy rain. Just in the last few minutes a few cat paws mixed back in. My skylights next to my easy chair come in handy in setups like these.
Not sure if I should post obs in this storm in this thread or April thread. This makes more sense since it's for this storm
39F Moderate rain now mixing with catpaws
Wish I could but I'm so untechy. Just looking at 12Z Euro. Splitting hairs but a bit better for you and me. Here is the weatherbell snow product 10/1. I don't pay attention to the amount but any trend. This is including any Friday AM snow too.
Grass just started to green on south slopes. Have not notice any bud swelling on trees or anything in bloom yet. Certainly no yellow forsythia. Still some snow patches in deep wooded areas. (Picture from yesterday)
Steve I'm not looking for much but maybe if the heights are crashing and snow growth is good at the end I'll get an hour or two of snow and wind. Still 48 hours out and trend is your friend. Since we are stuck in the house this will be a nice Thursday afternoon distraction from the virus.
