  1. 50.5/29 I don't know what to think. My neighbor who lives 300 feet higher than me has a long steep driveway and messaged me an hour ago and asked me if he should spend time and hitch his plow. I told him if he can hunker in till Wed PM all should melt off of his asphalt driveway but 32/33F snow is heavy and greasy. I put my snowblower away and will just let it melt. If I'm to guess I'm thinking 3 or 4" for me??? Wonder how much qpf I'll waste getting temp down?
  2. I just look at the GFS and the Euro. Seems the GFS has been leading the way in giving us less snow with each run. Now the 18Z GFS seems to be reversing the trend and increasing snowfall amounts up here as compared to the prior run.
  3. 61for a high! Almost made it through the entire month of April without hitting a 60.
  4. The potential is even going away up here. GFS seems to be leading the way will see if Euro follows this afternoon. My guess is it will
  5. It looked big yesterday but not so much today. I don't know why I was cheering on a big 12" birch bender that could cause power issues. Sun coming out strong now as low clouds move SE. Should be the nicest day yet of spring??
  6. !2Z Euro is honking pretty good. Perhaps 12" plus for some higher elevations especially in S VT and S NH. Night time will help a bit too. Is the forest canopy still totally bare down in N Mass. Just wondering of power impacts on trees that are begining to leaf out. I assume things are still bare in areas that could receive snow.
  7. The Euro is honking pretty good today. Seems like this snow event deserves it's own model thread so I created one.
  8. 12Z April 24th models are showing a late season snow event for parts of interior SNE and especially CNE. Could be quite the birch bender for some. We are getting close enough that this potential deserves it's own thread....
  9. This could be fun. 10" of heavy wet snow up here on my hill. Like Brian said it will be gone quickly but temperatures in the 40's early next week will keep the ground white for a couple of days. Wonder if the town would put the plows back on the trucks or just let it melt on our dirt road? Plows would dig up the road pretty good at this point
  10. Quite the late season snowfall for me. I was going to make a new thread for it but not sure yet if this is a real event for lower elevations or interior SNE
  11. Late weekend storm looks interesting. Model watching is the perfect distraction for Covid. Glad the tree canopy is still bare around here and I assume it is in the areas that are foretasted to get snow. The May 8 1977 snowstorm did so much damage back then because leafout had already occurred. That makes a ton of difference.
  12. 44F Light to moderate rain. South wind gusting to 29mph
  13. 12Z GFS Tuesday. 3 snow events. Possible quick flip to snow this PM. Then the next 2 systems sliding by to the south give us two more chances coming up
  14. Wondering if I'll flip to a quick burst of heavy snow up here. Should be fun to watch it unfold
  15. Watching towering Cu go up is one of my favorite pastimes. People think I'm nuts when I keep glancing at a particular cloud.
  16. Lots of snow and grapuel showers around today. Briefly made it to 40F https://video.nest.com/clip/0ad37395b54f44b999a96451c5ded27d.mp4
  17. I need one or two more bumps to get me into the goods.. PF, do you like the new Weatherbell layout? I really like it now that I know how to use it.
  18. 36.5F Snow flurries noon April 16th.
  19. April sun, cold air aloft creating a nice popcorn effect over the NE
  20. It's comfortable in the sun and out of the wind but my high was only 44.3F. Bit too cool for me. Grass really greened up the past few days.
  21. Rain almost over. 1.02" on VP2. Peak wind gust 33mph.
