  1. Mount Washington 32.7 Light snow grains
  2. I see a log and a dog. Glad I got up there last weekend
  3. Rain total 1.14". Peak wind gust 38mph. Finishes the month at 1.45"
  4. 69/68 Light to moderate rain. South wind 14 g 38 .64"
  5. Riding the axis. .07" already down. Drought ova
  6. Nice 2" soak for me tonight. Will need every bit of it. Good luck to those in eastern sections. I just got in from a 17 mile ebike trip so have not looked at anything except new Euro. More rain chances on Fri/Sat and then potential for something to come out of the tropics and merge with a frontal system early next week??? Droughtstein looks like a big dent will be put in it by this time next week
  7. Seemed like a lot of smoke around today. Just looking at the visible satellite picture you could clearly see it. Unrelated to the smoke over New England new fires have stated in California again. Smoke blowing SW.
  8. Those picture comparisons are awesome
  9. Diane, it was nice to meet you today. Beautiful car ride from my area in Plymouth through Franconia Notch to the Mt Washington Valley. It was heavily overcast through Franconia Notch but with a downsloping south wind it was much brighter in your area with mostly just a high overcast. I agree with you that you are slightly past peak. The area from just north of Plymouth through Lincoln and into the notch was at a brilliant peak. Probably the best foliage I have ever seen. The lack of rainfall, wind and the drought seems to have made this an exceptional peak in NNE. Wind and rain will bring down a lot of leaves this week. Everything seems to be running a couple of weeks early. My drone flight around Bretton Woods today. Wish we had had bright sunshine
  10. Here is 12Z GFS and Euro total rainfall this week
  11. Heading up to Franconia Notch now with the Drone. I'll post YouTube video later.
  12. White Mountains are at peak. Going to be lots of disappointed people come Columbus Day weekend which is 2 weeks away. Rain this week should take down lots of leaves. Earliest foliage I have ever seen up here.
  13. Any of you SNE's that want to see color get up here to NNE quick. Tomorrow is the day. Heavy rain will take down a lot of leaves this week. Columbus Weekend is 2 weeks away. We will be well past peak. Great color year
  14. Toasty here. 73F. Enjoying today and tomorrow. Nice to see inches of rain coming.
  15. Surface well down about 15 feet. Don't use it anymore as we have the deep drill well. Rain is coming to the rescue next week
  16. Here too. Really came on fast the past few days. Very, very early. I would even guess that peak might be this weekend for the Whites and maybe even me. Heavy rain next week may take down a lot of leaves.
  17. DIT, next weeks axis could be NW but there are more systems to follow. GFS shows that if we look all the way out. Impossible to know exact winners and losers but we are going into a more active pattern and should be able to chip away at these deficits.
  18. I bet you are okay but every well is different. Hopefully the access of heavy rain (for you) will setup over NNE and start replenishing ground water. Make a note as to well water level, how much qpf you think you have had this summer and note what you get before the ground freezes. That way you will have a guide in future dry spells.
  19. I want that Golden pup. You are lucky!
  20. Great day today. 77F. A friend invited us for a sail on Newfound Lake. Color is coming on very fast and very early in my hood. My birch and aspen grove has really exploded with color the past 2 days. We never had a freeze last week up here on my hill so it must be stress related to the drought.
  21. Color is coming on strong and very early in the Newfound Area. My birches and aspens especially. I usually don't peak till Oct 18th or so. Trees must be conserving moisture as they start to go dormant. That's my hypothesis
  22. 12Z Euro with rain totals through the end of run
