  1. 18.5F Light snow. Vis 1 mile 1.75". Sun dimly visible. Poor snow growth. Snow growth was good earlier.
  2. 14F Light snow vis 1 mile 1.25" new Snow growth has been good at time and cycles. Has anyone every notice that sometimes when the flakage is small big dendrites will mix back in. They become more numerous but get smaller until the whole flake population is somewhat larger. Then the whole thing cycles again.
  3. Moderate to heavy snow vis about 3/8 mile
  4. 13 Light snow. Vis up to 3 miles with dim sun. About 1/2" of fluff
  5. 9.7F Vis about 2 miles light snow
  6. It's not a great season when I have had the same amount of snow as Steve and Jerry down in SNE. Looking forward to another nickel and dime snowfall tomorrow. Yesterday I had 2", maybe a bit more tomorrow?
  7. No. You got the last storm, this one is for Dendyland. Euro 1" NAM Kuchera powda gives me 7"
  8. 2" final. Snow growth for the most part was pretty poor but the models did a good job all and all.
  9. 2" Final. Temperature in the low 20's so just a dry snow up here. Models were pretty good all and all
  10. I hadn't looked at the 12Z GFS but yeah, it takes everything south. Looking at the Kuchera clown maps almost 2 feet from Baltimore to Hartford.
  11. My normal snowfall is in the 80's. I have had 45". That doesn't seem bad but that early December storm did dump in my area 24" in about 12 hours. If we had missed that we would be way behind. Nice pattern coming up. Finally real New England cold and multiple snow events (hopefully)
  12. 21.4F Heavy virga. Ridges to the SW becoming obscured in snow. Should start here within 15 minutes
  13. I get a smile on my face just because your excited to finally get to see some snow. Hope it works out for you and is an over achiever!
  14. My folks didn't like my obsession with weather. Back in the day it always came on around 620pm on the evening news. My mother would call for dinner right at 615pm just to spite me. I also was always sneaking on the spotlights at night to see if it was snowing and they would yell at me that it is wasting electricity. I remember once they turned on the spotlights in the evening and there was a cold rain. Cat paws were mixing in from time to time with a mangled flake or two. I would get excited and they would look outside and just see rain and told me it was all in my head. Lots of stories like that.
  15. Nice day......sun, clouds passing flurries but I didn't expect so much wind. Maybe it was so strong on my property because it was more WSW than the NW. I'm sheltered from the NW but not from this direction.
  16. Not that I should complain up here having an average snowfall of 85" but the last big storm gave me about 2-3". Next one the same unless the NW trend contines. Snuck in a quick 2.25" today however.
  17. 24.5F Light snow ending 2.25" Nice refresher. The snow ended up being much dryer than I thought. I figured this would be a 30 to 32F snow down here but ended up staying in the low 20's. Snow depth up to 10". 45.5" for the season. Snowmobilers have really been hurting this winter down here. We have had snow cover but since the Grinch storm not enough to snowmobile with ease. They will get there chance this weekend. Next...
  18. I usually put more emphase on trends than individual model runs. The trend is our friend. SNE definitely looks to be in the game for Sunday but still more work to get it up here, at least the heavier stuff. This storm looks nice for the Mid Atlantic and the NE cities. Colder down there than the last storm. Meanwhile today's event has been a nice refresher. Still light to moderate snow and almost up to 2". Bit more to go.
  19. Snow has become heavy. It will not last long but vis is down 1/4 mile. Looks like about 3/4" or a bit more
  20. NAM delivers 1" qpf from Boston SW to Hartford.
  21. Snow came in quick and became moderate very fast. With temperatures starting out so cold I should have a pretty good fluff factor. Maybe I can break 2"?
  22. Snow is moving right along. Just started here too. 19.4
  23. 3" of snow overnight. Lull this AM. Snow started again this afternoon but has ended with some breaks. Another 1/2" GFS was right as it predicted about this amount for me. I will learn next time that the up and downslope amounts on the GFS are not necessarily overdone. I have not had time today to look through tons of pages on the forums. Other than the Cape did anyone in New England have less than me? Arrggghhh
  24. 30.3F Moderate snow. Just getting clipped on the extreme bottom part of the echoes moving NW through NH. Great snow growth
  25. I'm watching the echoes in the Atlantic. Will I get in on the action? Areas north of me in NH look too but Im right on the southern edge.
