  1. A few days ago we did a road trip to see folks in metro Baltimore. Full leaflet down there. 85/64 sure felt tropical. Heading back to clouds, rain and cool weather all in all much of this week. Taking the scenic route this pm North to Albany then east across the greens. Didn't follow elevation snow last night wonder if any of the greens will have snow?
  2. Good question Mark. I live almost exactly 5 miles south of the airport. For me at 1100 feet I have always guessed 80" or so. Downtown Plymouth is right on the river so even the bit of elevation on the west side of town gets more than downtown. They also are in a bit of a snow hole with downsloping from the Whites. I'm rambling. Maybe 70-75"???
  3. That Andover tornado video is awesome. It is nice when the video speaks for itself. So many videos of large tornadoes with people screaming large tornado like we can't see it for ourselves. Expect more good drone tornado footage in the years to come.
  4. Cold and windy day here. Wind seems to be overachieving. Just had a gust to 38mph which is impressive for my station. Lost power an hour ago but my trusty Verizon hotspot and laptop keep me going. Alex, Nice moose picture. Speaking of wildlife we lost a Newfound Bald Eagle last week. It was just sitting by the road. Fish and game came and got it. Went to the bird rehaber. The eagle had lots of lead in him. They couldn't save the bird. On the otherhand bears are everywhere!
  5. A friend of mine took this yesterday at Tuckerman's Ravine
  6. I think (for my area) this winter is a wrap. I have had accumulating snow as late as Memorial Day weekend but I don't see any cold coming and snow chances greatly decrease by May 1 So my total was 66". This is below my normal 80-85". It was a strange winter. My biggest snow event in several years was 24" on Dec 17th. That crazy death band sat just to my south for several hours. Brian got more but 24" in about 12 hours. That was a very enjoyable storm. Other than this out of the mix there was no other storm the whole season that delivered more than 3.5". I doubt that has happened since I have lived up here. So this season was a C- or D+. Great day today. Best part is that the black flies have not come out. Real greenup coming next week. Love NNE!
  7. All in all this winter season stunk for me. You got the upslope part but not the synoptic storms. I would use this season as a very low benchmark. If you enjoyed this winter coming from Maryland it will only get better in seasons to come.
  8. The WMUR forecast just popped up on my facebook feed. I have not paid any attention to the weather past the weekend storm coming up but it looks like warmer weather is on the way. They have a 68, 77 and 81 for the end of next week. I think it's pretty stupid to post exact air temperatures many days away, especially with their viewing area being a state that lies north to south.
  9. 330pm 28.2F Moderate snow shower. Pretty impressive for April 22nd in Central NH.
  10. Just took a ride from my house to Fairlee VT. Snow line on the ground is just NW of Plymouth NH. Beautiful ride with snow covered trees
  11. 24.5F Nice snow squall moved through 430am. Ground is pretty white, Perhaps 3/4"
  12. Nice to see all the snow in Norther NH. Alex it looks like a winter wonderland up there. Fun end to the storm for sure. I was flipping down here just as the heavy stuff moved northeast.
  13. Thundersnow in Plymouth NH. Just saw a video posted on our local FB site 35.3F Moderate thunderstorm here with mix. 75% rain and 25% snow
  14. 35.8F Heavy thunderstorm with catpaws. Just had a strike very close to the house and the cats went flying
  15. 36.9F Moderate thunderstorm with catpaws. Should flip anytime now
  16. 38.5F Thunderstorm in progress. Temperature is falling rapidly right now.
  17. Boston 66F. I'm 44F with rain showers about to begin. Wonder is I can score a few flakes this evening?
  18. 2nd earliest ice out ever. I guess the first one 1945? was 2 days earlier
  19. It seems every time I look the models tick east for this weeks storm. If the trend continues NNE may be inline for another wet spring snow
  20. 37.8F and I have had a few light showers of rain mixed with snow and sleet. Ridgelines above 1500 where beautiful this morning. Our snow is half way melted
  21. 2.5" final snow amount at my elevation Moving up here from the flat lands of Greater Boston it still amazes me how just a few hundred feet make such a difference in snow amounts. At Newfound Lake level where most people live there is no snow and it was just a mix all day. Driving up a sideroad from the lake you go to bare ground to winter wonderland in less than a mile. A video from today of that.... It should say April 16 not 15
  22. The coldest air with highest rates are south of us. Stuck at 32.7/32.8
  23. 32.8F Light to moderate snow. Just seems to melt almost as fast as it falls.
