For those of you that like to see nature at it's best the volcano in Iceland is putting on an amazing show right now. Use the slider on the live Youtube feed to go back a bit as the eruption ebbs and flows.

Here's a pic. It was dry last week with grass growing in the basin. Since it is man made it always goes dry or near dry by summer's end. Rain has stopped. I have not been emptying Stratus on a 24 hour cycle so it is hard to say how much rain was from Elsa vs the front but this has been a very wet July so far. 4.15" so far this month.

Better day today than I was expecting. Some sunny breaks. Got up to 69F briefly. I was not paying attention to the weather around supper time and then looked at radar to see showers moving into the Newfound Area. Really pouring, just in time to ruin a lot of barbecues. About .15" so far with moderate to heavy rain currently falling

Hum with this upgrade. My feed now just fills up about 60% of my laptop's screen the right side is blank.. Just under an inch of rainfall with this storm I have been watching the volcano eruption in Iceland. It was very active last night. Some lava vortexs. I have never seen or heard of this phenomena. Here is a You tube video showing one.

Never seen a rabbit this far north in NH. Send some up.

Radar looked great but thunderstorm really was a disappointment. .21" some breezes and some lightning/thunder but no big deal. For the month I am up to 2.22" and most of that was in a 15 minute deluge that gave me .80" on the 15th... next... By the way some big internet issues in Central NH with Atlantic Broadband. I'm using my phone as a hotspot.

Seems like the Central NH east into at least Southern Maine gets shafted much of the time. I'm fully expecting the storms to fire just south of me and then hit S NH and Mass hard.

I really enjoy living up relatively high with a good view. Not just for winter but for summer storms too. Wish it was a bit more west too. Beggers can't be choosers most people would kill for this view. I could cut down the forest to the west as we own that land too but we have enough open space. Video of last night's thunderstorm. Some nice cloud to ground strikes but didn't capture any in this video. The lightning rod at the end of the video got hit once while I was in the sunroom and sparks went flying but it saved the house.

Usually all time records are broken by a degree or two. This heat wave was so unprecedented that climate change had to have played a part. You just don't break 3 days in a row with all time record highs by many degrees. Portland below Monday’s record-setting temperature of 116 broke Sunday’s record-setting high of 112 degrees. Sunday’s high had broken the 108 degree-record set Saturday, which broke the previous high of 107, first set in 1965.

The city's all time record high was 107F until yesterday. They reached 107F three times in the city's history. Yesterday broke that with a 108F I believe. At 2pm west time it was up to 109/52F. GFS has a high of 114 today and 118 tomorrow. Euro has a high of 111 and 116. My Mother, sister and family live in Oregon so I'm watching this with interest. VERY impressive to break all time highs by many degrees.

There is quite a bit of incredible tornado videos from the tornado in the Czeck Republic on June 24th. Go to You tube and search around a bit. The one you guys posted of all the trees being mowed down is a good one. I believe 5 people lost their lives.

.16" yesterday and .13" from dying Tstorms the evening before. This .29" puts me up to 1.76" for the month. The .82" thunderstorm last week really helped

65/59F Light rainy type day. Only .10" today but nice to open the windows. Refreshingly cool. I will take this over 90/72F any day
