  1. 1.15" here. Brings month to 8.15"
  2. Best thunderstorm in a couple of years last evening. 1.07". Some small hail. Gusty winds and lots of lightning. One thing that I found interesting. Thunder was not loud. Wonder if smoke had to do with that? 7.25" ish for the month
  3. Severe thunderstorm just ending 63F .77" Moderate rain. Small hail during storm and gusty winds 30mph in my sheltered NW location Youtube during storm
  4. Finally a summer with rain. Lawn and gardens looks real good.
  5. Very curious what I end up with?? Could be.50" could be 2.50". My gut takes the under
  6. Taken as a whole, when was the last time this much rain was falling all at once in Massachusetts?
  7. Just had quite a thunderstorm as far as lightning goes. Many cloud to ground strikes around Newfound Lake. No wind and storms weakened as they past. Only .15" as the core went just south.
  8. I'm probably the only one on the boards that is happy. I have had much less rain than most of you but finally having a mid summer without wilting gardens and brown grass. 4.50" ish for July has been super. I will take another heavy thunderstorm or two and then it can stop. Nice to have windows wide open. Very refreshing out there.
  9. Nice patch of rain moved through earlier this morning .45"
  10. For those of you that like to see nature at it's best the volcano in Iceland is putting on an amazing show right now. Use the slider on the live Youtube feed to go back a bit as the eruption ebbs and flows.
  11. Here's a pic. It was dry last week with grass growing in the basin. Since it is man made it always goes dry or near dry by summer's end. Rain has stopped. I have not been emptying Stratus on a 24 hour cycle so it is hard to say how much rain was from Elsa vs the front but this has been a very wet July so far. 4.15" so far this month.
  12. 63F Light to moderater rain1.15" since 8am Note to self in winter... NW edges can be off. This way overachieved here
  13. 61F Driving, heavy rain. Models had me just out of Elsa's heavy rain shield but it has made it in. About .75" since 8am Would this be considered a deformation band in winter
  14. 57/55F Heavy rain. We should miss the CDO of Elsa but some nice heavy rain just now
  15. 57F Light rain. About .20" during daylight hours. (.30" last night) Quick look at the models. Core of heavy rain from Elsa looks to pass by about 30 miles SE of me. Just can't score a real soaker. Maybe everything will come NW just a bit...
  16. 75/62 Partly cloudy Very comfortable afternoon in Central NH. Enjoy the heat, humidity and storms for all those south of me...
  17. I'll take what you don't want. 2.25" in the past storm. Helped but I will take a few inches more.
  18. Better day today than I was expecting. Some sunny breaks. Got up to 69F briefly. I was not paying attention to the weather around supper time and then looked at radar to see showers moving into the Newfound Area. Really pouring, just in time to ruin a lot of barbecues. About .15" so far with moderate to heavy rain currently falling
  19. About 1.25" for the event so far. Biggest rainfall in a couple of months
  20. Hum with this upgrade. My feed now just fills up about 60% of my laptop's screen the right side is blank.. Just under an inch of rainfall with this storm I have been watching the volcano eruption in Iceland. It was very active last night. Some lava vortexs. I have never seen or heard of this phenomena. Here is a You tube video showing one.
  21. Never seen a rabbit this far north in NH. Send some up.
  22. Radar looked great but thunderstorm really was a disappointment. .21" some breezes and some lightning/thunder but no big deal. For the month I am up to 2.22" and most of that was in a 15 minute deluge that gave me .80" on the 15th... next... By the way some big internet issues in Central NH with Atlantic Broadband. I'm using my phone as a hotspot.
  23. SPC bumped up to enhance for us. Clearing out nicely 81/71
  24. Seems like the Central NH east into at least Southern Maine gets shafted much of the time. I'm fully expecting the storms to fire just south of me and then hit S NH and Mass hard.
