  1. Super fast leaf out up here. The tree canopy looked like November 7 days ago. Now everything is leafing out. Here are 2 pictures from my Cam. Monday AM and Friday AM
  2. I agree John. I know you worked with him. I never did that but went down to Ch 7 numerous times and even had dinner with him once. Great guy! I'm old school. Don Kent was my idol but then the next generation of great mets like Harv and Barry came along. The greats are leaving. I left the Boston metro 20 years ago and don't bother watching TV much anymore but the talent level seems worse.
  3. Reed Timmer a storm chaser launched a drone in Andover Kansas and captured about the most amazing tornado video I have ever seen. Watching the first part of the video. Amazing stuff...
  4. Let evening we had several hours of snowshowers with just a dusting left over this morning. Had to an errand up in Lincoln NH. This afternoon the "snow on the ground" line is about 5 miles south of there. All the Whites down to the valley floors are snow-covered. Boy, snow-cover and late Aprl sun is blinding bright.
  5. April continues to buck the seasonal trend. Another cold week with some snow at higher elevations. Leaf out is going to be really late this year if this continues. Finally the first forsythia are opening. If we had 2 or 3 days of 70's everything would bust open here in Central NH
  6. What a sucky month so far as far as temperature. Nothing is growing. Still waiting to see the first yellow forsythia or a flowering fruit tree. Nothing. At least the snow from the other night has melted except for the piles that formed when it slid off the metal roof. It must be green and spring somewhere? Here is a graph of my temperature up here in Central NH. I would assume it is pretty unusual to see no hint of seasonal warming through what should be the month with the fastest rise of seasonal temperatures of the year.
  7. 33.2 Moderate snow. Flipped past hour. Only 1/2" so far
  8. 39.1 Moderate graupel shower. Actually enough to coast the ground white a bit Last evenings rain mixed with snow for a couple of hours. Hills are white above 1900 feet Don't like the west trend for the potential blue bomb. First guess is a quick dump on the front end followed by a flip.
  9. 36.6F Light snow mixed with rain. Looks about over .30" ish
  10. I didn't hear it but it is trying very hard to flip to snow Moderate rain, catpaws and parachutes 37.2F
  11. Better yet, just take a long nap and wakeup a couple days after the storm. It will all be gone.
  12. 40.9F Moderate rain but some cat paws mixed in. Have to look at the car windshield but is definitely mixed a bit.
  13. I like the new Mount Washington cams. They have put the Wildcat and observatory cams on streaming Youtube. Snowing at the summit as of 430pm https://www.mountwashington.org/weathercams/deckcam.aspx
  14. 38.7F Moderate sleet and seems like mangled flakes. Are flakes even possible this evening?
  15. 37.5F IP Rain this morning has had lots of sleet mixed in. Even a few parachutes from time to time. I'm surprised the sleet has lasted so long. Precip started around 9am Just noticed Concord only 35 miles south is 50F and well up into the 40's north of me too
  16. 38.5F Ice pellets, few mangled flakes and rain
  17. Precip just started . Ice pellets 41/27
  18. 630pm Light rain, fog and 38.3F!!! CAD rules here time after time. I'm colder than any reporting station in NE other than Northern Maine
  19. Seems like the best time of the year. High sun angle, comfortable temperatures and no people. Glad you are enjoying it!
  20. Maybe it is just me but everytime we have a potential there are cloudly skies or a bright moon. Tomorrow night is a no go for NNE
  21. Time sensitive. Look at the vis right now. (1240pm). Flow seems blocked over C VT. I have never seen this before.
  22. 29F with snow squalls. About 1/2" 2008 was a special year. Over 130" of snow in my area. Many roof collapses. We had to keep shoveling our roof. I made some videos from that winter see below. The first one is from March 1 and then there are more in March and April. Still so much snow even in April. We feed the deer that year as they couldn't barely get through the snow.
  23. 39F light snow shower We have some friends that live about 1 mile south of me and around 1600 feet elevation. They offered to share their webcam with me. They look NW over Newfound Lake as I am 500 feet lower and face SW. I am really going to like this new cam especially with thunderstorms and snow levels. Nice view even right now. Can't see my house but is around the X mark.
  24. Sun with snow and rain showers 40F. Ending the season at 55" is pathetic. I might as well stayed in Metro Boston.
