  1. CAD rules as usual 36.6F Miserable day. Light rain, high of 37.7F Finally loosing snow cover on south slopes. 3-6" more of crap Saturday?
  2. Clown 10: 1 for next week's potential. This does not include Saturdays mix
  3. Then there is next Tuesday. We get buried again. I am ready for this endless winter to end. Jealous of my family down in Southern RI with green grass
  4. Same here. I'm around 92". A couple of interesting tidbits. I have not yet hit 50F this year! I thought we might do it today but at 1:45pm I seem stuck at around 47F. Hard to believe with so much warm air just south of here. I attached my Davis weather station graph. A few 49s but no 50F. CAD really helps, and great snow retention too. I have had near total snow cover since our Dec storm that gave me 19". We had errands down your way Brian and there is a huge difference in snow cover in just the 20 mile drive south. Finally, we had our first grass to appear on our South slopes yesterday. The deer were right on it last evening.
  5. Wow, you got 5"? We had a dusting this morning and virga all day. Time for the melt to begin
  6. This one is a little longer and wider so it will be darker at centerline. Early afternoon. What are chances of clear skies, 40%. Temperatures start dropping before totality so convective clouds wane. The beach towns of Western Mexico are the place to go. Long eclipse and near 0 chance of rain.
  7. Total Eclipse coming in one year April 8 2024 Another total eclipse is coming. We are very fortunate in our lifetimes to have one pass through NNE. We have had annular solar eclipses and a total eclipse just missed in March 1970 (Carly Simon, You flew your Lear Jet up to Nova Scotia to see a total eclipse of the sun) If anyone has ever experienced a total eclipse it is one of the craziest most memorable things in your life. I traveled to Aruba to see one. To experience daytime turning into night you have to be in a path of totality. Even 99% of the sun being hidden still ruins the experience. I have attached the path below. I expect the media to start honking a bit this April 8th and every Airbnb and hotel will start booking up. So if you are interested in seeing it the time to book is now I would think. Of course this time of year NNE could be clouded over too) By the way you want to try to be on the centerline for the longest and darkest eclipse.
  8. NH didn't want the Northern Pass through the state.
  9. 30.5F Light snow. I did have some steady snow the past 3 hours and picked up 1.5" additional 6" last night, about .5" daylight hours and 1.5" this evening so 8ish". That brings me to 90" for the season. So the first above normal season in 3 years. Congrats to all that got the big snows!!
  10. 32.4F Visabilty 2 miles About 1/4" inch the past 2 hours in areas that had no dim sun earlier. So I will up my total to 6.25". Perhaps if I had woken up around 5am and measured then and cleared I could push 7"! I'm so jealous of you two!
  11. For Central NH in my area this has been an exasperating day for me. Over the past few days the models really did well with the downwind snow hole until last evening. I feel like an idiot because I post for the 7000 member Newfound Lake face book group. I have done very well this winter compared to say WMUR and locally wherever I go people seem to know me and thank me. On Sunday I was going to go with 3-6", quite a bit less than the NWS but never hit the send button. I was too unsure. Then last evening the models really bumped up Plymouth NH to 1" liquid and Newfound Lake area up to 1.20". I never posted that 3-6" since this storm and the northward loop made me nervous. So I went with 8-14" with most on the hills. Yeah I had 6" up here but where most people live today there was a couple of slushy inches with the dim sun at times. Trying to explain downwind of the Whites will not cut it. This forecast is a D unless we get a few inches this evening. I'm stuck over 32F up here at elevation so I doubt that will happen. Argghhh...
  12. 32.9F 10 hours of light snow with 1/2". of slush. 6" last night. Finally cooling to 32.6F and starting to stick. I'm at 1100 feet too
  13. 33F Moderate snow. The temperature just will not go down even though the snow has finally resumed falling moderate to heavy.
  14. I have been stuck at 33.1 or 33.2 for the past couple of hours. Finally the dim sun is gone and light snow about 3/4 vis. Actually as I type I just ticked to 33.0F as the snow is picking up. Radar looks good for us as everything rotates in from the east. Interestingly the wind was really blowing this morning but has really calmed down.
  15. 33.2F Light snow. I did not take a measurement around dawn but guessing 6". Since then we have just had very light snow with no accumulation. It is finally picking up with a vis below 1 mile but the temperature for my elevation and latitude is surprisingly high. I really though I would stay 31 or 32F all day.
  16. 32.4F Temperature has risen 4F since dawn. Dim sun. Bit of drizzle mixed with a few mangled flakes. Wind is howling from east. I don't understand as I should not be shadowed in this wind direction
  17. Per Science Museum webcam, snow now coming into downtown Boston
  18. 31.4F Very light snow. Bright skies, can almost see the sun. The models had me in a snowhole for the past few days and then they came back last evening with much more qpf. Maybe stuff will back in with the low coming into Mass Bay but who knows
  19. 29.3 Light snow/blowing snow Snow started last evening at around 34F and dropped to 32F by mid to late evening and continued the very slow drop. Fortunately we have gone over to a drier snow. I didn't measure but estimate 7" by looking at the railing
  20. 31.1 f Moderate snow. 3 1/2 estimated. Back to bed
  21. 31.7F light snow. Eyeballing 1 1/2". Trees already plastered.
  22. 32.2F Light snow. Snowblower positioned and ready. Obviously we still have a ton of snow up here from the previous storms. Long melt season still ahead.
  23. Snowing pretty hard here and starting to stick. Big flakage. 33.1F
  24. 33.7/30 Light snow. The temperature has been dropping steadily
