  1. Really interesting GOES loop right now. Can really see the new low exploding and the circulation expanding down east of NJ. Looking at the NYC webcam and visibility is lowering and snow is starting to stick
  2. 29.3F Mostly cloudy sun makes an appearance from time to time. vis 20 miles
  3. Just got back on the boards since earlier last evening 3.3" my total. Few flurries falling 28F Without looking back through 20 pages of obs who jacked? Last I saw before I turned the computer off last night was some 13" around Albany.
  4. Euro east but the storm is stronger. Bottoms out at 971mb. That would be quite the wallop if it was 75 miles further east. Still not excited about this up here. Brian still on board but I'm not invested. 23.3F Light snow
  5. Jerry, Just looked at a link you sent me last year. 605pm Logan 35.4F Here is the 620pm Weather Underground PWS obs. Doesn't seem too bad to me.
  6. Welcome to New England. Every part of the country has the local nuisances as I have learned with much of my family living in Bend Oregon. Under your name in the profile section it's helpful to put your location so if you post observations we know where you live.
  7. Snow just coming into Boston now per the Charles River webcam. Pretty amazing that days ago the models could give us accurate start time within an hour or so
  8. Just WOW on the Euro. Congrats E Mass.
  9. Good luck everyone. 12Z GFS gives me 3" up here. Now I know how all the SNE feel when it's reversed. Don't like it
  10. You guys are up at 3:30 am? Well me too. Throw a couple of logs on the Fire and look at the nam. Finally a run that gets some good precipitation up to me. I haven't seen run finish I like this run. But Now I can go back to sleep at least until it GFS. Nighty night
  11. Here is the Weatherbell snowfall product 18Z vs 12Z Euro assuming 10/1 Not sure if you can read it well, 12Z on right
  12. ....and on the other side of the NH notches not a cloud in the sky all day. Next storm looks like it's shifting south a bit. Maine may cash in late in the game but looks like a screw job for much of interior NNE. Could be some epic amounts in SNE.
  13. This uncoming storm is driving me nuts. Sharp cut off line between heavy snow and a nuisance few inches of fluff. Southern Grafton County NH where I live will be living life on the edge. It's a no brainer to go with WSW for S NH through Brian but for me WWA or WSW? Model trend was inching north all night and now back south. Maine will catchup on Monday night but will it fill in back here?
  14. 12Z Euro really cuts the northern edge in Central NH, at least for me in the Plymouth area. .93" to .60". Monday night/Tuesday looks too far east.
  15. Not liking the trends on the 12Z models for up here. No cliff jumping yet but definately don't feel confident on any big snow
  16. I'll sleep okay but still would like everything pushed 25 miles further north. That sharp qpf contour is still just barely north of me. Like to see it through the S Whites. I'll be up at 1am taking a quick look at the Euro. Then I'll hopefully sleep tight
  17. Such a big gradient between Brian and me 20 miles to the north. A friend of mine runs a big plowing operation. 7 plow trucks. He is in Florida till later Tuesday and just texted me should he come back early. I don't think he would be able to change ticket anyhow with Sunday being such a busy travel day. Slightest shift in storm track puts me in heavy snow. I'm kind of leaning cold dry air eats up northern edge so amounts will not be as high as GFS says.
  18. I see the same thing over the years on Franconia Notch. Lincoln is sunny and dry, Franconia cloudy with flurries. The NW upslope makes all the difference. If you like snow you picked the right place to live. Would have you been miserable if when you were scouting locations you picked North Conway or Lincoln? Partly cloudy 28F here bare ground for the most part
  19. FWIW 18Z GFS Weatherbell total snowfall product. Assuming 10/1
  20. Does it now? I'll give you this one but let's not make it a habit
  21. I'll take my .4" and run. Congrats SNE
  22. Happy Thanksgiving to you AMWX NNE's. Congrats to the areas just north of me that got snow. Had a mix with the heavier rain bands last evening. About 25% of old snow remains while up at Alex's it's a Winter wonderland.
  23. 625pm Wed Heavy rain and snow 38.6F 75% rain but with catpaws and few mangled flakes Surprised snow is mixed in
  24. 43.6F lots of melting going on Found this picture taken yesterday of my ridge line. This is looking north from South part of Bristol NH. That white area below the black square are our fields below the house. 1100 feet. We were high enough to have a snow cover but above us it coated the trees too. Peaked Hill to the right of the house is 1940 feet the tallest hill in the local area.
