  1. 27.6/23 Light snow and snow grains. Roads becoming dusted white. Vis about 2-3 miles. Just noted WWA up. Makes sense. Will be interesting to see if it's sleet or just freezing rain before we go above freezing
  2. Rainer on Saturday. Maybe wrap around moisture will help a little bit. Storm early next week is trending in the wrong direction but looks colder than Saturdays. Follow up system after that perhaps but that is out in fantasy land. Southern New England is killing it in the snowfall department. Mostly bare ground around here. Wildlife must be loving that.
  3. 42.5F Light rain Temperatures are running from the mid 30's to 50F within 1 mile of my house. Mid 30's at low elevations around Newfound Lake at 580 feet. I'm 600 feet higher and in the low 40's. Friends weather station at around 1400 feet is 50F. Snow is down to 2" at the stake
  4. 41/41 Light rain dense fog. Warm air is making it's way north alittle faster than I thought. Still 34F Plymouth NH but I'm warming up here on the hill.
  5. My prediction is that by 7pm tomorrow night it will be snowing up there. No big deal but a touchup. This weekend looks kind of interesting. Noreaster coming up the coast. Right now it looks more wet than white but just a slight shift to the SE might be enough for snow at the higher elevations. Then after that yet another system next week. Active pattern.
  6. Here comes the warm air 36.8F light rain Plymouth NH ASOS can't figure out the rain and fog. 33F and light snow, 1.2 mile vis. Don't think that is going on a few miles to my north.
  7. Living the life 34.6/33 light rain and fog. Any guess when I'll hit 40F? Tomorrow dawn?
  8. Stuck at 34.8/33 with moderate rain. No snow fog here yet. I wish I could mix out and warmup. Mid 30's with rain is the worst. Not expecting to hit 40F till some time overnight
  9. 35F and rain about to begin. Seems like it's a very active pattern for NNE. Warm and rain. Then cold with some upslope. Another storm this weekend that looks mixed. Then early next week yet another storm. So many changes. All and all it doesn't look good for snow but if next weekends storm went further east perhaps enough cold air for frozen? Too far away
  10. I thought this was interesting. I took it from a facebook weather group. A study was done looking at 1000 weather station obs and surface temperature with rain or snow falling. Freezing rain/sleet was thrown out. So this is just a general graph at what one might expect with a given surface temp. 36.5F seems to be the 50% temperature of either rain or snow.
  11. Alex, like you said, finally sun. Now a couple of days of rain/fog/darkness. Pack takes a hit but then a couple of days of upslope to give you a refresher. Wonder when your next sunny day will be? Hope you and the family are enjoying the sunshine. Looks nice.
  12. Hoar frost was beautiful around Newfound Lake this morning. With the open water it added more moisture to the air so the trees were frosted. The bays are freezing up this morning but I suspect they will open up with a couple of days of rain and warmth.
  13. My elevation really helped me this morning. Only 10.6F for a low
  14. Up here it was a mostly sunny day today however every Cu seemed to be able to produce snow flurries which were in the air to varying extents all day. Wonder how much of our snow cover will make it through early next week?
  15. 19f clear skies good visibility but snowflakes in the air. It was like this all night every time I turned on the spotlight very small flakes with a bright moon. Never saw this when I lived in metro Bosron
  16. Clipper gave me 3". Nice little event
  17. 25F Light to almost moderate snow 3" Big flakes just piling up. Compresses to nothing. Past hour had a burst of moderate snow. Euro wins this one. Gave me 3.5" using the Kuchera algorithm on weatherbell.
  18. 25.8F Light snow. 2.25" of fluff. Neighbor just called and said the roads are surprisingly bad. Wasn't a surprise to me but I think this little event caught some off guard. With temps in the upper 20's and light to moderate snow falling the past couple of hours the roads became covered quick. This stuff has such little water content. Leaf blower application on driveway will take care of it quickly
  19. The trend in all the models I looked at is a bit stronger each run. The Euro gives me about 3.5" if I use the Kuchera ratios. Maybe some might be surprised around the evening commute in the Manchester/Concord areas of NH. No big deal but this looks to sneak under the radar a bit.
  20. 30.2F Moderate to heavy snow squalls have made it over the mountains. Quick 1/4" Temp fell from 36 to 30F over the past 15 minutes. Nice to share in the fun
  21. Typical morning with down-sloping cold air advection. NW to SE cloud streamers off the mountains. Got up to 36F or so and now falling back Deer are back with the annual winter hunt for apples under the snow. Lots of tracks mostly behind the house that you can't see. Only 4-5" at the snow stake. Wonder how much of it we can melt with the brief warm up early next week?
  22. Thanks, I appreciate this. They are excellent.
  23. I have been gone all day at Dartmouth Hitchcock and have not been very up with this storm. 5" storm total for me and looks like just a couple of inches in Lebanon. Just got home and have not read the boards since early this morning but turned on the TV. Snow amounts, 36" New Ipswich NH and the Monadnock area. Wow.
  24. ....and on the other side of the NH notches not a cloud in the sky all day. Next storm looks like it's shifting south a bit. Maine may cash in late in the game but looks like a screw job for much of interior NNE. Could be some epic amounts in SNE.
  25. This uncoming storm is driving me nuts. Sharp cut off line between heavy snow and a nuisance few inches of fluff. Southern Grafton County NH where I live will be living life on the edge. It's a no brainer to go with WSW for S NH through Brian but for me WWA or WSW? Model trend was inching north all night and now back south. Maine will catchup on Monday night but will it fill in back here?
