  1. When in doubt, go with the least interesting outcome. What a week, what a winter.
  2. Ah, the oft-modeled but seldom realized multi-stage long-duration event. Hopefully it's not just a sign that there are too many cooks in the kitchen.
  3. Yep, time for the SE trend to re-establish itself now that we'll have a better airmass.
  4. Pouring all morning, 31F. We never had any snow or sleet as far as I can tell (there may have been a little overnight).
  5. Having something better on the horizon definitely makes tomorrow’s mess a little more bearable, though still plenty of time to trend. It’s a nice widespread event as currently depicted; wish we could lock it in.
  6. Such a shame that this is now tainting what looked to be a snowy vacation week for even the NNE ski areas. Skiing in/on sleet sucks. Hopefully the late-week deal turns out better.
  7. But they’re not getting sleet or ZR, so their pack won’t last. Suckers
  8. I’ll freely admit that I haven’t followed every detail of this, but WTF happened?? I thought this was as synoptically locked in as you’ll ever see - big slug of moisture ramming into a strong cold high which was supposedly perfectly positioned. Now we’re just getting firehosed.
  9. Murphy’s Law winter for us. Just a total disaster. What a week it could’ve been. Such a letdown.
  10. Yeah, was thinking the same thing. We’ve had a few of those trend that way. Days and days.
  11. So disappointing to see this morph into a 3-4” slop-fest here. I really thought it was finally our turn to get a solid snow event.
  12. Nothing spectacular - solid SWFE. It’s refreshing to not be sitting on the edge of a death-gradient for a change.
  13. lol - about 10 posts in three hours. Pretty good barometer of the outlook for SNE.
  14. Was always going to be a dusting at best up this way. Hopefully we can actually get some moisture in here next week.
  15. The whole "bullet-proof pack" thing is such a weird fetish, especially heading into the second half of Feb and especially if you're in SNE. The calendar is undefeated. IP and ZR are a pain to clean up, and are useless for recreation. The snow is still going to melt eventually.
  16. Thanks. We have those down to a science. Definitely more optimistic for midweek next week for MBY - esp if the SWFE look holds. In the meantime, we take the mood snow...
  17. Assume these references are for SNE/ Pike region?
  18. I haven't had a chance to look at any of the modeling or threads for the next "threats" today. Still suppression city?
  19. Hard to underperform when your expectations are already low, but this one managed to limbo right under that bar.
