  1. I thought the WPC qpf of .5-1 was low for a juicy gulf/atlantic low on a track essentially from the SE coast straight up and over far se mass and north through the gulf of maine. That should bring higher qpf even if moving quickly..
  2. click those heels together 3 times Dorothy
  3. If I can find them, I should take pics of my observations of the Blizzards of 78 and 79 in Delaware. I took all sorts of notes, wrote out the forecast...like a good little weenie.
  4. straight north from there or is it edging nw?
  5. The goals is to get 2 of the 3 possibilities over the next 10 or so days. If Friday ramps up, then we get next Wednesday. If Friday fails then we get Sunday and Wednesday. 2 out of 3 is the goal.
  6. Lucky to have a glacier here underneath. This pack isn't going anywhere. Could get it real deep going into February. Glad to probably not have to rely on Feb to build it.
  7. fascinating as I don't see any precip here looking out the window.
  8. My 31 in Jan 96 (philly) coast me 5K in consulting fees. I couldn't afford that, but apparently I could. A few inches down that morning as the storm was just getting going, and I was due to go to the airport to fly in Cincinatti. The flight hadn't been cancelled, much to my alarm. I just said fook it and pretended I couldn't get to the airport and they were cancelling all the flights. In retrospect, worth every penny.
  9. Positive busts are nice even if you only get 4 or 5 inches, especially on top of an existing pack
  10. It’s been snowing Steadley although not as heavy since I found 3.5 so this is a pure estimate that I am probably just over 4 inches maybe 4 1/4?It’s been snowing Steadley although not as heavy since I found 3.5 so this is a pure estimate that I am probably just over 4 inches maybe 4 1/4?
  11. Not ready to stop up here yet. Moderate 1/2 mile good growth
  12. the very best refreshers when you are in a deep winter pattern, and then followed 3 days later by a slow moving Miller A blocked up since that clipper became a 50-50 under a greenland block. And followed by a Miller B as the 50-50 drifts ene and the blocken slackens off.
  13. I't be nice to see a clipper, been awhile. a nice strip of 4-6 20:1 low viz Iowa style
  14. dunno how long it'll last but there still is some redevelopment overhead and some pushing back n and nw with some of it. but the western edge is making progress east. but your best stuff is just starting with the upslope anyhow. Imagine with all this fresh snow, how cold all of new england will be Tuesday night/Wed morn. I'd say -20-30 up your way, I'd say -10 here, and I bet below zero almost everywhere else.
  15. doesn't look like much on that radar but we still have low viz moderate snow here. viz between 1/4 and 1/2 I think and decent snow growth, but not spectactular
  16. you never should've congratulated qq 48 hours before go time.
  17. not complaining here. while my eyes said 4-5, my stick said 3.5. Gorgeous walk this morning.
