I still stand by my prediction from yesterday - it will be just like the last storm with the same winners and losers. 5 inches for me. 10 inches for La plata and almost nothing in PA.
Heavy bursts of sleet with snow mixed in. Temperature now at 32.7. Winds have picked up so I suspect the front has come through. Roads are going to be an ice rink soon
The others said it earlier: we're starting as rain in the lowlands and then finishing up with a strong backside once the cold air comes in. I don't see any other way for us to get the totals the models are spitting out. The air is already warming. 2-4 seems likely, if it overperforms then up to 6 isn't off the table.
Most of the weather stations in my area have 31/30, so whatever inversion is going on is real, since I live in the lowlands. Not to fear, I'm sure my temperature will shoot up fast in a short amount of time.
