For anyone following the information Tim Marshall has been providing the past few days, a non-EF-5 rating should not come as a surprise.
.Vilonia, AR would like to enter the chat.

Need over 200 mph for EF-5, right? 200 exactly won't do it?
Correct, 201mph is EF-5. The 2011 Chickasha, OK tornado is listed as a 200mph EF-4 with "plausible EF5" actually in their damage assessment text and is still a point of questioning.
-
PAH has updated to EF3+ preliminary with winds of 190mph now. It's trending in an obvious direction.

Surprising to me that not even those houses in that lakefront community (I think near Earlington?) count. I guess building codes aren’t sufficient even in the wealthier areas.
Those are the areas he said he couldn't get access to on Kentucky Lake northeast of Benton.

In the Navy this is what we call invisible boot stomping as a hint, but I think that comes as no surprise to any of us here.

NWS Paducah confirmed on TWC that the Cayce/Mayfield/Bremen tornado was a continuous, 128 miles long path across their entire CWA. So, there’s that to run with so far.

This right here is one of the most complete wipeouts I've ever seen after a tornado. Bremen, KY.
High end EF4/EF5 material.
Man, there is some pretty incredible sweeping, and then later on just reveals a complex multi-vortex structure to the damage on a ridiculous scale.
-
While the damage is incredible in Mayfield, this tornado was likely not even at its strongest point then given some of the damage pics from Dawson Springs and Bremen.

Edwardsville/Pontoon Beach, IL tornado (Amazon) rated EF-3 so far.

Defiance, MO tornado rated preliminary EF-3 and May go higher, per LSX Twitter.

Survey team from Louisville confirms Bowling Green tornado as at least EF-2, with survey ongoing.

Looks like a Walmart distribution center near Oak Grove at I-24 is about to just get obliterated.
-
This tornado looks like it may go just north of the airfield at Ft. Campbell and stay south of Hopkinsville, leaving mostly rural farmland. Exception is the main Oak Grove exit on I-24.
-
It looks like finally a cell on the flanking line may've surged the RFD forward enough to choke this puppy off, for the moment.
Meanwhile, Stewart County, TN continues to tighten and have a healthy CC signature is a very, very rural region.
-
The supercell headed for Ft. Campbell has taken out 911 service to all of Henry County, TN (Paris is county seat).
-
Well, nothing like headed right towards a major Army post in the dead of night, and the Tennessee's 5th largest city where there is an abundance of cheaply built homes to support the base.

Tornado warning now extends 55 miles in front of the tornado.
Louisville CWA downrange is not f**king around with lead time on this one, and nobody will ever question it.

Still over 100 trapped at the Amazon warehouse in Edwardsville, IL and perhaps at least 1 fatality, thus far.
I will say this, as tragic as it is there, this circulation passed directly over me as it began to develop over Des Peres, MO at Manchester Road & I-270, and continued to intensify before dropping in the Metro East. This could've been incredibly bad just 20 miles farther southwest.

Any good local news sources for the storm as it heads towards Madisonville? It's moved out of the KFVS viewing area so they're dropping coverage

New tornado warning in northern St. Louis metro, headed for the damage in Edwardsville, IL.
. -
This is going to go directly into Mayfield unless something drastic happens. Time is running out very quickly and unfortunately even if it were to occlude, it'll still nail Mayfield.
-
That tornado in Weldon Spring crossed I-64 at the Chesterfield Premium Outlets with damage.

This is going to pass within 2 miles, if not over, the NWS STL office.

If it stays as EF4, surely there need to be some questions as to why Tim Marshall seems to be the common denominator in some of these cases where the appearance is that he view is taken as the gospel.
