  1. Yeah, you can see how I do in these events (check out my profile.) Roan is to my northeast a county over and its the only bald higher in elevation on the border than mine. Slight changes in wind vector make huge differences with these flows, so like Met said just keep checking this page. We have some really knowledgable folks in here. 2. If I were you I'd head for Roan. It's probably the best bet outside of the smokies. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. There is part of the BRP open north of Asheville and according to the real time maps you can travel south on the parkway and reach 5000'. Of course, deteriorating weather conditions could cause that to close without notice. https://www.nps.gov/maps/full.html?mapId=e212fcb5-4ff9-4787-bbe4-3d40cc0d0daa#12/35.7363/-82.2721 Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  4. Shhh...let's not give 2020 any ideas.... I love snow, but its hung around about long enough for one season. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

  9. They also had a tornadic episode before Easter too with one tornado going through northern Spartanburg. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  10. I'm already hearing some deep rumbles of thunder to my north. Looks like yet another active day. I sat on the bald watching the lightning from the Spartanburg storm last night...the flashes was almost continuous around 8-9pm. I wonder if upstate SC is gonna get walloped again today. They just can't catch a break lately! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  11. You're just full of good news today. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. This is not going well so far. Yeah, it was a dud of a sunset and the storms went north. Still had a nice walk last night.
  13. And the cirrus deck is about to ruin the chance to see sprites. Dang. Oh well, might be a great sunset. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. Exactly what I'm hoping for! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  15. I am for sure. I'm heading to the top of my mountain to watch the light show. Almost no clouds ahead if that line, so I'm pretty optimistic it'll be a good one...if it holds together. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. That sucks, but you had better luck than me. I just had a few decent bream and one small trout.
  17. Spent the afternoon on the North Toe river fishing. Couldn't have asked for better weather! Anyone use a fishing kayak? Looking for recommendations. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  18. Down to 34.8° with a wintry mix in Wolf. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
