Looking back through the records, Boulder had its driest August since 1985 with only 0.1" of precip. Hopefully Sept. will reverse our recent misfortune.

Welcome to Colorado - I made the same move 2.5 years ago. I was a frequent poster in the Mid-Atlantic forum dating back to EUSWX days (I joined back when there were no sub-forums) and miss the energy there but as another poster said the trade-off is that we get to live here

Best Mid-Atlantic winter storm of the last 40 years

Don S. predicted around 18-24" for RIC. Would have been a top 3 storm all-time here. I received 10-11" in the end...mixing during the night killed me.

It was a great event for us down here as well. My final total was around 10.5" (unfortunately we changed over to heavy IP for quite a while during the early hours of the 19th). And finally, one from my ski trip in the days following the storm.
