    One of these days I will be able to snow chase like you guys. Technically I can. I'm off until the 6th. However, I JUST came back from Niagra Falls. lol Oh, and I drive a mini van. lol

    From my trip to Niagara Falls. Was excited to see what water vapor does in 21F weather! The trip up was white-knuckles on Friday. Temps got down to 18F north of Harrisburg, PA with sleet and freezing rain. It was relentless during some parts. Was thankful for the dry slot. I pulled off a few times to decide whether to just keep on or stay in a hotel. But kudos to the road crews. Roads covered but passable! Definitely not like those videos in the south with people sliding all over the place.

    Made it to Niagra Falls. Left MD at 11:30am when the pings started. Dude. It got insane driving through freezing rain at 23F! Then sleet at 18F. Hats off to PA and NY road crews. Roads were covered with an inch of sleet and freezing rain but unbelievably passable. Temps got to 30F at Buffalo then dropped to 27F at Niagra Falls. Had a snow squall come through after we at dinner. .

    Guess I have to postpone my drive to Niagra Falls on Friday.

    Stranger things seems to be the new norm. Like watching New Orleans almost get a foot of snow. lol That's too far south though.

    I was going to say. Same thing happened to me. Bought a snowblower and used it two winters later!

    I know but with such a narrow band of precipitation, still enough time to shift. someone into misery or into snow heaven.

    This storm is still so far away. I'd feel better if it was Sunday morning. lol. Hoping it trends higher. Remarkable hold for the last few runs.

    Take a look around the models, we're on the threshold of hell. Threading needles. I do like where we are at this point.

    If this weekend pans out, I will be pretty satisfied. Usually we spend December talking about snow chances in Jan and Feb. Now it's like having multiple threats in Jan but in Dec. I like the trend so far. Always a chance to over perform.

    Could it be because of the cold weather? low dew points? Instead of a clipper with temps closer to 32F?

    Yeah. I thought that was the rule here. Which is why we hate clippers. They don't tap that gulf moisture so the moisture it does have gets wasted on the west side of the mountains. Upslope?

    PG Schools did a switcheroo. I got the 2 hr delay but missed the subsequent school closure message because I was working. lol. Pulled up into the school with my daughter and the parking lot was empty. Ooops.

    Got a good snowbank over College Park. Best thing in the world is to have your kids wake up and go berserk over the snow. My daughter gave me a hug. lol

    I myself would be happy to see my children go berserk over snow TV this early in the season. Win/Win. I just hope it doesn't end until evening.

    Congrats! My son was born in the middle of the March 3rd 2014 storm! Born at the house.
