  1. OMG what a mess. I got as high as 33 but the precip never stopped and the ice kept accepting. It's been freezing mist for the last hour now and the whole neighborhood is a sheet of ice except where they salted, that's just slushy mush piles and wet. Now it's raining again and the temp is creeping down
  2. Yeah? It better. I have .3" of ice and it's accumulating quickly at 30°.
  3. 25/25/SN back to snow with tiny flakes here after a mix of big flakes and sleet for an hour and change. This is some dense shit Gonna suck to push out of the way before the rain makes it even heavier.
  4. 25/24/SE2/SN Everything is covered nicely and it's snowing but the flake size has been very small so it's taking its time accumulating although that's starting to change.
  5. So for Thursday, this is snow to start but will change to rain? How far north are we thinking the rain makes it? I have a significant road trip and am hoping to get an idea of what to expect for the drive home (from Chicago) Thursday overnight.
  6. I stayed snow longer than the rest of you by being further east so I was well over 4", probably close to 6, before the sleet. By the time I went out at 6:15 it was 4 and compressing quickly. I did a quick pass with the shovel, cleaned the car and left with 80% of the driveway untouched. I'm betting it's gonna be a frozen disaster when I get home tonight.
  7. I thought it was over after a few hours of questionable precip types. It started snowing again but still tiny flakes.
  8. I'm closer to 16" than the ~10" in the season update map at the end. Great work though, I can appreciate the time and effort something like this takes
  9. I'm disturbed that I've had to lower most expectations so low but it has reduced the disappointment and turned it into understanding. I'm a salesman, I have to figure out how to be edit from the next few years or I have to go find a low paying service job because that's about all that'll be left soon.
  10. It used to be that everyone got a fair chance, I assumed they were smart enough and agreeable enough to communicate and work with until they proved otherwise. Now I go into things expecting to be disappointed hoping they prove themselves to not be ignorant and disagreeable. At least I'm not troubled by it when I give up and walk away.
  11. I'd be ok with that scenario. Getting my business kicking a month early would be ok.
  12. Yep, miserable. It just popped to 33 at the town garage at the bottom of the hill, still 32 here but rising. The mist and drizzle has been persistent since the snow and sleet ended around 10. It's crusty, slushy, icy and soggy Actually, don't dance, you'll fall on your ass and get all wet. lol
  13. 2 hours of freezing rain and drizzle sucks. It looks like it's almost over and about to pop above freezing though so that's nice.
  14. ^^ A couple of ski areas have already closed and it looks likely a few more will wrap it up this year.
  15. 23/21 I've had heavy snow with some huge flakes but mostly cylinder crystals mixed with very heavy sleet for a little while now. The sleet isn't letting the snow depth increase much so what's on the ground is super dense.
  16. We keep going from really wet to really dry, is this the flip back to wet and how long might this wet period last? Will it be as extreme as the dry period has been since 9/24?
  17. I need it to stay south of I80 (or Rt17) so my trip to Chicago is better on the 11th and home on the 13th. See what ya can do
  18. Ha, we had just enough glazing in the morning that they put a nice fresh, thick, layer of sparkly, crunchy crystals downright about the time it was melting off. Then the schools had a 3 hr delay when everything was just wet. Chuckle. I had about the same, 1.75 and kept most of it even though it warmed up to 45.
  19. It's graupeling out there now and 24°
  20. I just want no snow the night of the 11th and 13th between here and Chicago. It's a miserable ride across PA when it's snowing and I have 2 days of meetings I have to bring stuff to. See what y'all can do to make that happen for me would ya
  21. We need about 40"/yr here or things get sketchy so, not too dry. I was in Kingston and watched it roll over and then down off the high peaks area. It was a fun 3 minute squall that made the salt spray off the roads horrible for the next few hours. Someone asked about temps around the area, it was 47° and heavy rain all the way up there and it was 48° in Catskill before the front passage.
  22. After an anamolously long period of easterlies.
