    Yeah that was a fun but quick snow shower. Then it was just another sorta cold day, nice in the sun but tough to appreciate with the wind.

    Do you own a car wash or a body shop? Those are the only businesses that benefit from so much road salt.

    In the car on the highway I have to use the AC on recirculate or I can taste it after a few minutes. If your cabin air filter is in good shape it makes a huge difference. If I lived in a main road I'd have to have good filters at home.

    A lot of places are having a tough time making enough snow, take a look at trail counts at places like Catamount and a few others that have missed out on decent natural snow. If we don't get some r**n soon it's going to get dicey.

    See? All over around me... I shouldn't complain that my heater ran for a minute less, right? I actually love watching microclimates and this area is really good for that.

    Driving in the snow is great after most people have hunkered down or have already slid off the road.

    I got .4 of nice fluffy fluff too and also gone outside shady spots.

    Sometimes big fluffy flakes and sometimes small fluffy flakes. There's maybe .2 but it looks nice.

    The "problem" with rain at the moment is it won't do our groundwater levels and soil moisture any good because the ground is frozen. All it will do is run off and sort of add to upper drainage basin levels, not much will even reach the reservoirs. Each small round of snow at least keeps the wildfire danger lower.

    A month of easterlies in the fall was odd. We've had some windy periods in the winter before, maybe not this significant (?) but, I think a big part of how we're reacting is that we haven't had much the last few years and memories are shorter than they used to be. I don't know about others but I'm less tolerant of the cold than I was so that's part of it too.

    Have you been seeing anything from the streamers the last few days? I went up 22 on Saturday and it went from sticks to winter all of a sudden with obvious showers over the high country.

    .3 or so today. Just enough that I hear there are a bunch of accidents in the area. I'm gonna go make the long trip to the mailbox and see what's up in the driveway. Working for yourself is where it's at.
