25/24...13" winds 20/35mph gust last hour, and looks like this band over my head may stay a while...absolutely ripping...makes the month long snow lull all the worth it.
closing in on 12" if not more, hard to measure... just took a ride to the store, absolutely dumping snow and most of what I got fell from 2-now... crazy rates and nice light fluff
24/22...visibility in yards now...has to be over 6 by now. I will be going out after a meeting at 4 to get a few measurements for an avg. any reports of thunder today? apologize if it has been mentioned already.
23/21 and now under 1/4sm vis... approaching SN+ here, 1.5 since 12:30 path clearing and most of that came in the last half hour or so... finally getting the good snowgrowth, if this can maintain for a few hours, we'll be over a foot... estimate 5-5.5" otg since onset.
any reports of verified blizzard conditions down on LI or coastal areas yet? I wouldn't be surprised if someone verifies over the next few hours as this bombs out
looks like just about everyone in CT is around or over 4" at noon, honestly I didn't think we'd have much until later today, so bonus, still slowly increasing intensity and snowgrowth...vis is about 1/2sm now, can no longer see my 3/4 marker.
22/19...no way we're hitting even the low end if this doesn't pick up and that band doesn't migrate north...stuck just under 4", while visibility has decreased, snowgrowth is not spectacular but getting slowly better than earlier...
20/17 just grains right now after an initial nearly 3", looks like some serious returns just south of LI, hoping they don't halt the northward trek towards my area... seems that south coast is getting mod sn with good growth.. good luck all
remember back in the eastern days when we had the radio/livestream special for large events, those were cool... looking forward to 12-16" here good luck all, it's almost go time.
gotta say we picked up another inch here at least in the last hour, ripping in marlboro... pleasant surprise, thought it was going to flip early on... sucks being on the road for snow, but love it regardless!
ripping pretty good here at the 495/20 interchange... I'm guessing about 2" otg? i ain't gonna go out there til it stops, which by radar looks soon, but hearing others saying it's still going with no returns, nice indeed to see white again otg!
staying in marlboro working in boxboro, ran into the wall of white coming down 495, now at marlboro hotel seems to have flipped to IP/SN mix, wife in Winsted says maybe 1.5-2" otg there... just coated-.5" here..
despite the lack of any measurable snow, there are still some piles and shaded areas with snow cover, I'd say that's pretty impressive for nearly a month without..
up in boxboro til the end of the month and I saw a flake this morning! I've checked out of weather, save for a brief look at the models, boring Jan indeed, but there are other things to worry about these days it seems..
nice snow growth now, just got to an inch, vis about 3/4sm about, nice mood snow whitening up things, if this little band I'm under can persist, we'll push 3 by the time it winds I reckon
