  1. This year but they have terrible years too, last year and the year before they had very little. Of course, to him very little might mean a foot on the ground, but they get ratters too.
  2. Looks like its snowing up there right now.
  3. The guy that takes us fishing in Oswego said when he left Thursday they had 6 feet on the ground. You know if PF's getting nailed, so is upstate NY.
  4. Exactly, that's why it would suck to get one once its starts warming up and melts. We had almost two months to get a big one to stay around and we got little snowers with ice.
  5. We'll probably get some well timed storm after St Patrick's day that melts in 2 days.
  6. Should be a lot of melting this week, at least now I can walk around a house for pictures and not fall on my ass. The icy layer has softened up quite a bit.
  7. No idea how that happened, but I deleted them.
  8. 41 here now, my wife spent an hour chopping ice yesterday in the driveway and got about a 4' X 4' section chopped, she asked me to clear the chopped ice, it was already frozen back to a giant ice cube. I told her to wait til Tuesday, should be a breeze by then.
  9. I just want driveway cleared, could skate on it literally all week, dangerous too, almost took a spill couple times getting into my vehicle.
  10. Might be an exaggeration but it will be below normal at the beginning.
  11. It seems you guys in the mountains up north just need that cold air to blow down from Canada to collect the goods. Same things around the great lakes, the guy that takes us out fishing was saying they have a 6 foot pack in Oswego when he left Thursday. Last year he said they hardly any snow throughout the whole winter. Those small 2-4 , 3-6 inch flurries add up over time.
  12. I think you're right, I've been looking at skunk tracks and some of the are pretty close.
  13. I had snow on the ground for Christmas but that warmup had me bare ground for a while. Seems like a long time but its only be 3-4 weeks.
  14. It does. I talked to a trapper there who had every fur of animals in the wild of New England and he had no idea.
  15. I'm getting that bug too hut would love one big storm to close out the year, a blizzard if I could have my choice.
  16. My cousin and her husband used to take ski trips to Europe a lot, her husband hated Vermont, said it's too cold to ski. I guess they happened to go with single digit highs and below zero at night, so they never went back.
  17. The wind finally died down and it wasn't too cold.
  18. I was the hunting/fishing expo in Springfield today and showed these prints to a couple of guides and no one could tell what they were.
  19. Put down some puppy pads, took mine a while to go on them but she tries her best to go on the pads. Sometimes misses by a little bit.
  20. My old girl is 15 and arthritic so doesn't like going out when it's cold and she has to walk on ice. She tried walking up an incline yesterday, slipped and slid all the way back down on her back, I think she liked it
  21. I'm going to have a couple shovelfulls once things soften up. The turds melt the ice then get frozen in within a minute, so I'd have to chop them out.
  22. You have plenty of company, we're all a little loose between the ears.
  23. Models show a pretty good cold shot beginning of March. If it happens as modeled we will.
  24. I have the same problem with my patio and my 15 year old arthritic dog, she's tried to go out there but ends up slipping and sliding, so she does her deed in the 5 foot cleared area or on puppy pads I put by the door. I should have went out last Sunday and cleaned it but didn't think it would freeze so quick.
  25. I was in Springfield this afternoon for work, the side roads are terrible, seems you have more snow on the ground than I do here, not much more, maybe a couple inches.
