The pack will be so deep the piles won't melt until June. Joking but in 2015 I think there was a pile of snow in Boston that took about that long to melt.
I can understand if the definition is it has to snow between Christmas Eve and Christmas day but to be the first snow really narrows it down to an almost impossible level.
December hasn't been a total loss unless you were expecting a biggie, plenty of time and more likely in Jan and Feb anyway. Its Christmas, its cold, the grounds white and flakes are coming today, nothing wrong with that.
My mother in law who is 93 has one of those huge clock looking thermometers that's off by about 8 degrees too low and she thinks it accurate. She probably had -10 last night on that thing.
