    This is going to sneak up on a lot of people, its nice and calm and sunny right now, I bet a lot of people aren't paying attention.

    Night skiing was the best, crowds were thinner and you got more runs in then go to the bar for a couple beers after, sleep like a baby, it was great.

    My Japanese maple dumped today, driveways covered, have to get the blower out tomorrow.

    Hasn't happened in 26 years yet so I assume it won't. I had a new roof installed last year and unbeknown to me they ripped up the gutter guards with the old roof and threw them into the dumpster. Back a few months when we got the heavy rains what your describing is exactly what happened. Even got water into my basement for the first time. I cleaned the gutters and installed the guards and everything's been hunky dory since.

    Yeah, I don't get that, even if you pay to have them installed by one of the big companies it's a one time fee and never have to worry about it again.

    I installed gutter guards this summer and they work great, cost about $120 for the guards and a few hours to install.

    I remember doing that as a kid and misjudged and ended up with a big headache.

    The funny thing is 80% of the leaves are from my neighbors trees.

    Same here, tons of acorns, not many hickory nuts though.

    Could be, I live on a small dead end street with 5 houses, we all help each other and lend tools, I've borrowed my neighbors snow blower when mine was down and I've lent mine out now that I have a good one among other tools.

    A good neighbor would lend his assistance and let him borrower the good blower.

    My guys do it all at once for $250 and I have just under an acre. Then they do one last mow, its usually around first week of December.
