    My grass growth has slowed quite a bit, just one more cut aftwer leaf clean up and done til the spring.

    I was there towards the end of September and there was a big surf then too, a dozen or so guys were surfing at Short Sands..

    That makes sense, he hit over 300 a couple times and was an All Star at least once.

    I guess you could toss an apple in their bag or a quarter. When I was a kid I always ended up with a couple apples and some change. Kept the change, tossed the apples.

    He was skilled, excellent second basement and could hit decent and had speed til he messed up his knees, that's why his career was short.

    He didn't look good last time he was on during the playoffs. Guy fought cancer for years. My favorite announcer of all time, he will be missed.

    I do too once my body adjusts to the time change. Messes me up for a week or so. Then we have the Holidays and storms to track.

    Was just reading he got takeout at a pizza place in Vermont.

    get a big barrel, put some wood in it and pour the gas on the wood and have a campfire, wouldn't eat the roasted marshmallows though.

    I grew up in the 60's and 70's and assumed all winters would be cold and snowy with the occasional blizzard or two. The 80's brought me to reality.

    I remember the early snows in the last 80s, thought we were in for a great winter but not.
