Im at 80/74 feels like 90s+

My mother's philosophy from growing up in the 30s and 40s, cook the meat until it's the texture of leather, and I wonder why I never liked meals with meat as a kid. I didn't realize you could cook it medium rare and enjoy a juicy steak.

Cold Spring?

Just have a couple waters after you're done with beer and you'll be fine in the morning.

The guy that serviced my HVAC said the same thing when he was working on the condenser outside.

That's when an ice cold beer hits the spot.

He got it so cheap that he basically just kept the foundation and the frame and still made money. He didn't know I did the house for the old couple when it was a piss house and I asked him what the house was like when he bought it, he just said it needed updating, he didn't want anyone to know there was gallons of cat pee soaked into everything, smell was gone though for the time being anyway.

Don't get me wrong, some years are great and when a big Nor'easter hits us it can be a beautiful thing, like Nemo. We're just currently in a bad string of winters for winter weather lovers.

I appraised a house in Agawam years ago for an elderly couple that had over 50 cats. They both were old and in poor health and were both in the hospital for over a month. They had no one to take care of the cats so the cats were alone in the house for at least a month. Finally, the ASPCA or some other group found out about it and took the cats that were still alive to a shelter, there was a lot of cats that didn't make it. This house had a stink like you can't imagine, the cat pee bubbled up the Formica countertop and paint on the walls, the wood trim, baseboards, everything. A contractor bought the house for practically nothing and had to gut it and had to redo the whole interior. After he was done the smell was gone and it looked good.

As usual for me they skip south, might be the theme of the summer.

I got a cut up elm one year and tried cutting it with a small electric splitter, got a bunch of mangled splits, I find it splits better frozen.

Im still seeing lightning and hearing thunder to my south.

It's coming our way

We didn't have it down here when I was a kid. We had one fan for the whole house and we just sweated our assess off. Never slept well when it was HHH. Used to like to go to work in an air conditioned grocery store and go in the walk in freezer, that was my reprieve.

Im 80/73 though I'm not sure how accurate my sensor is for dews, sucks out there.

Also, great firewood for the leftover scraps.
