  1. Just as good, much cheaper than oil, one year I spent over 4k in oil, don't remember the year but oil was high and it was cold so I got a wood stove, $1k for wood per year and one tank of oil and I use oil for my water heater. Some years wood is free if I'm willing to cut, split and stack so I save even more.
  2. Actually just going up 50 cents isn't too bad, I've seen a much bigger increase in my area
  3. You need a wood stove, kept my house at mid 70's all night without using oil.
  4. Overall the models look good for Maine, I'm heading up there Friday for a few days, maybe I'll get lucky while I'm there.
  5. I'd be happy with that as a refresher and hope the 30th works out.
  6. Jerry does too, Im glad I was old enough to appreciate the magnitude of that storm. Just wished I had taken pictures.
  7. Probably good for PF, he'll be posting shots of moderate snow on radar tues
  8. My wife agrees with you, hates Starbucks and has a DD every morning.
  9. It looks like if things break our way it can be good but it's fairly active.
  10. I've been lucky enough a couple times where we stayed in your area over the years and it hit -35 twice, brutal, bone chilling cold. Things make noise that shouldn't at that temp. Coldest I've ever experienced.
  11. Ive got flakes from those OES streamers all the way over here.
  12. He's not alone, there's always a line for the drive through at the one near my house, they're money makers if you own a franchise.
  13. They didn't have Elaine at the beginning either, Jerry said she saved the show because early ratings weren't good.
  14. Someone must have a few inches by now, it's been going for two days.
  15. I hate their coffee but used to like their breakfast sandwiches with ham, for some unknown reason they don't have ham anymore.
  16. I'd like to go up on that, Ive been up the mountain every other way but the cog.
  17. A couple storms ago where we got 4-5 inches, the bread aisle at my local supermarket was empty.
  18. I appraised a house last summer where they had to tear down a whole wall of the house and redo it because of mice, left unchecked they can wreak havoc.
  19. I thought someone in CT would get a couple inches even though the models weren't looking that good later last night. Your elevation probably helped.
  20. If one of those storms work out on the GFS we can salvage January. I'd prefer the second one with the 960 low.
  21. I got about 1/2 inch and it seems to be over, at least I'm snow covered for the arctic air.
  22. I had steady light light snow, now its just flakes
