  1. Not bad, 20 feet in the next two days. Do even Sheep live there?
  2. He didn't look good last time he was on during the playoffs. Guy fought cancer for years. My favorite announcer of all time, he will be missed.
  3. I can vouch for that, I have a couple big ones, PITA.
  4. Sticking with the barrel of fire solution.
  5. Pouring here, has been for the last half hour
  6. I do too once my body adjusts to the time change. Messes me up for a week or so. Then we have the Holidays and storms to track.
  7. Was just reading he got takeout at a pizza place in Vermont.
  8. get a big barrel, put some wood in it and pour the gas on the wood and have a campfire, wouldn't eat the roasted marshmallows though.
  9. I grew up in the 60's and 70's and assumed all winters would be cold and snowy with the occasional blizzard or two. The 80's brought me to reality.
  10. I remember the early snows in the last 80s, thought we were in for a great winter but not.
  11. I like the way the pattern is shaping up as we head into the cold season.
  12. Temp was 35 this morning but looked like some frost on the grass.
  13. Should do the trick, next house I build (hopefully in Maine) I'm going with a standby whole house propane generator.
  14. I'll take a Thanksgiving snow storm and snow cover til Easter.
  15. Liked him on the midday show back in the day.
  16. Time to bring some firewood in and get the wood stove going, oil's too expensive this year.
  17. I have an 8500 w genny but I went with a switch plate on my electrical box, a lot cheaper than one of those sub boxes plus I can run whatever I want, I've have the central air on running other stuff and never had a problem. Cost a lot less to do the switch plate, cost me $500 for the switch and have the electrician set up the plug outside and he made me a 15 foot cord. I had $1,000 plus quotes from other electricians to do it the other way.
  18. I may be able to scrounge up a years supply from this storm.
  19. Same here, I had a few of the Koosman/Seaver rookies cards that I destroyed, last I looked they were worth a few hundred.
  20. I had 18", my sister at a high elevation in Charlton had close to 3 feet with huge drifts. That storm started a parade of good winters in the early 90's.
  21. Would love to see a slow moving retrograding low like this in the winter. 3 feet would be nice.
  22. I have a mulberry tree that drops all its leaves first frost. That's how I know we had the first frost, leaves are brown now but will stay on the tree until the frost hits.
  23. Hasn't been bad here either, I assume that will change tonight though.
