I golfed in Leicester this past week and there were a ton of lady bugs around, I kept brushing them off my clubs and golf bag. They'll be in my house soon, not sure how they get in but they do.

I'm thinking of the winter of the snowicane where we got rain and NYC got nailed.

Mt Greylock is a nice trip if the roads still open, some decent restaurants in that area too.

Your area got nailed that year, we were right on the edge or just out for the big ones.

Manny Ramirez used to that too, not sure of the work boots though, steroids helped too I guess.

I'd take 2015 over 78 if it happened earlier in the winter otherwise I'd take a biggie like 78. The bad thing about the 78 blizzard is we got shutout after that one, the whole pattern changed after that storm, probably because of the storm.

There's a closed golf course near me, it's a great place to take a walk with my dog.

I went to work in Agawam the next day and no one at work believed what we had in Southern Worcester County till I showed them the pics I took. The ground was bare in Springfield/Agawam.

I did both, I have a heat pump, wood stove and oil heat, I choose the cheapest which is usally wood especially when it's free but putting the heat pump on this morning for a couple hours won't kill me.

I don't have a lot of bright red and yellow where I am either, the north had a really good year.

I get my wood down to 20% or less and it burns great with very little creosote or ash in my flue.

My favorite firewood, not much here in Central Mass.

I already had a forced hot air system so they just added to that, same idea as a mini-split.

We've been using out new heat pump too, just enough to take the chill out and not touching the oil at all.

That's New England, you wouldn't believe the amount of rocks I dug up when I put my lawn in. -
There's a huge savings burning wood where I live, wood might be more expensive near the bigger cities but I never spent more than $880 for wood in one year. I've spent triple plus that on oil before I had the wood stove.

I got them free this year, just had to cut and split myself. I have two years worth. I usually burn 3 1/2-4 1/2 cords a year. When I last bought it was $220 a cord.
