    I know its happened, just can't remember the last one, we had three sucky years though and I don't have the best memory. I remember a good one in the 90's where we got a few inches and it froze solid. PIA to move it.

    The NWS gives storms names but in memory of James from the Cape we named it the James blizzard.

    When's the last time we had a rain to snow that had a decent accumulation?

    There was a poster that stayed on Plum Island, I bet it was pretty wild out there, I haven't seen him post since before the storm.

    My wife said it was -4 at 5am, it warmed by the time I got up to 3.

    Don't remember the last time we had a rain to ice to snow that was significant on the frozen end.

    We may have a good couple of weeks if things break our way looking at the models. We're due for a good stretch.

    Radiate? I've been below just once but have been in low single digits a few times, I'm on a hill so I don't radiate.

    That's right it was right before Christmas, I remember having an appt in Fitchburg and the only sound you heard were the generators for the lucky few that had one.

    Lunenburg was the worst, I think they went 10 days without power.

    I noticed that but I think it's the numbers running over each other and makes it look like that but it's not. The numbers are all bunched up. It's a 2. something and a 4.6 over each other.

    I took a ride today to the usual drifting spots, snow is still blowing around and drifting on the high areas.

    Seems like you're missing this stuff, I know you had to move down there but this is the fun part of winter.

    My 12" is down to 9-10 already except for the drifts that are 20"

    Same thing happened to me, I'm about to go out and do a final cleanup.

    If you extrapolate the NAM it looks more snowy than rain.

    No but most of us have a decent pack and it's mid winter cold out so it's better than what we started with.

    When I worked in Agawam in the early 90's they actually got some good storms and a deep pack. I remember inspecting a house in 16 acres and the snow was above my waist. But typically they're too far west.

    I got half that on Boxing day, it happens to someone almost every storm. I only got 12 today too.

    I got between 2-3 more inches after I thought it was over, I'll go out and get a final measurement once it stops for good.

    I saw a map with over 50" in Rhode Island, it was really impossible to measure, all I know is I never saw that much snow and huge drifts before or after.
