I know its an IMBY thing with all of us, I didn't have the snows they did but it was damn good here, I know you guys west had less. But still, it showed you can get an epic 5-6 weeks after December.
I write it off after St Patrick's Day, I remember having snow and an ice storm one year on St Patty's Day and I remember a couple years where it was a beautiful warm spring day.
That was the first year my father hired someone to plow the driveway because it was pretty big and he was getting tired of shoveling. The plow guy told my father to shovel out out cars (we had 3) then he would come and plow. By the time me and my father shoveled out the cars the driveway was just about cleaned so he ended the relationship with that plow guy. I think it took me and my father 4 hours Tues night shoveling that snow, we had snow banks that would make Kevin envious.
How big is your generator? I got a 8500 watt so I could run the well and whatever else I need, 8500 is plenty to keep everything I need going. I know the well sucks a lot of power that's why I went bigger.
If we can get one blockbuster blizzard that'll save this winter for me. I'm talking 18-24+ incher. We've had the cold and I've had a small pack for awhile but if we're not going to get several small/medium storms I'll hope for one more biggie.
Tree House borrowed 10 mill from the bank when they opened and business was so robust they paid it off in two years, Place is still packed so I don't think they're in trouble.
My sister in Maine had the mini splits put in two years ago mainly for the AC, her main furnace broke down last year and the mini splits heated the house just fine. They're a good investment.
