I only experienced it one time and I know what you mean, it knocked power out at the time but I saw all blue through my skylights when it happened.
Looks like the cold is making a push south in the next hour or two.
I have light rain and snow eating fog, snows disappearing faster than the hair on Kevins head. Don't think I'll end up with much frozen here once all is said and done.
I was at a D last month but this month with the cold and snow brings it up to a C+. Ponds and lakes are all frozen and look to stay that way for awhile and there's a decent pack out here. Feb can either bring it up or bring it down, we'll see.
First time I went up north when I started skiing I went to Sugarloaf in the early 80s and all the steep slopes were ice. I remember looking up from the bottom and wondering why there was a lot of people bunched up, wasn't til I got up top that I saw the ice.
The last one was the first one in a long time that had big potential, that's why we spent so much time tracking it, for a lot of us it didn't turn out like we hoped so the next one won't get the same attention.
I know its happened, just can't remember the last one, we had three sucky years though and I don't have the best memory. I remember a good one in the 90's where we got a few inches and it froze solid. PIA to move it.
