  1. Thanks a lot for the reply. I always keep an eye on the site and compare it to my station and surrounding stations. Sometimes it's in line, but some days it seems a few degrees too high.
  2. I feel like for the past couple years their temps have been running a little high on sunny days. That's like 4 miles from me and is usually the highest temp in the area. @mgerb , have you ever noticed that or am I just wrong haha.
  3. @Poker2015 this is usually balloon fest weekend. It would have been perfect this year. Stinks.

  5. Pretty much every single one of them are weak storms
  6. I see some breaks of blue here now.
  7. Are these reconstructed or were we actually measuring back in 1954? If not, when was the reconstructed data done?
  8. I appreciate all the posts here. Easily my favorite thread to read. Good work all of you.
  9. Didn't that kind of happen the last time we were supposed to have a wet week
  10. 59 this morning. About time
  11. There was a dusting of snow here late Dec 2017 that lasted like a week. That was the longest I've ever seen a dusting stay
  12. .50 so far. Nothing too special here
  13. Why though? I mean I get that wind direction matters as it does everywhere, but why doesn't the tree canopy that everyone bitches about every single day here care about west winds? Does it blow the canopy open all of sudden? The canopy should effect the site no matter what, but on west wind days NYC is sometimes the highest temp. Maybe the tree canopy is overstated and it is really more about the winds. I have noticed that some of the personal sites near NYC often match the temp, and I'm sure those aren't under trees, but that fact often gets ignored.
  14. It does mean that and is right on the line for the 2010s average. Unless something drastic happens, we will be flirting with record lows every year.
  15. For every NYC station there are 5 rooftop/tarmac stations that are just as useful
  16. The lightning in that warlock cell is sick! Legit a few flashes every second
  17. .60 here. That one to the south of me looks pretty sick. My buddy said it was the worst rain he's ever driven in
  18. You're in the hot part of town this morning, lol. 87 with a 74.5 dew
  19. .30 from this. Surprised. Only .04 yesterday.
