Might get "saved" by the stuff coming out of the south. High res models had it picking up some moisture but it'll probably fall apart like everything else. LOL!
Fingers xssd!

Oof. Major dry slot totally screwing me in Union county. Not even a dusting. Just drove around the north end of I-270 and it was dumping with huge flakes. Looked like more than an inch for sure.

About an inch and a half so far in bexley. Sure looks purty out there...
Everyone doing ok it seems. Not here in Powell! Barely anything on the ground! Although it started snowing pretty decent recently.

Yea....all of the Ohio/Indiana posters here miss his insight and rye humor. I stay away from the COVID thread(s).... just becomes too political and too easy to blow a gasket. His last post was back on April 16th.....and it was a classic COVID rant. Winter will not be the same without him here.
Agreed! IMO, that type of thread doesn’t belong on a weather forum.

Eve and day for sure. So far out yet, but been watching it for days now. Praying to the snow gods to give us a Christmas eve/day snow storm.
As for Buckeye, I think he left the board due to the covid thread it seems. He posted a rant there and has never posted again. Hopefully he comes around. One of my favorite posters here.
I asked about him earlier in like October. That’s too bad. The board is not the same without him.

I didn't know this was where all the Ohio folds hung out. Tomorrow looks like a nice thump for eastern OH and an inch or two for everyone else unless we get lucking with back end or something.
Yeah man, the place to be! Welcome!!! I’m hoping to get lucky with the back end a little later! LOL

I agree. I still think a stormy Winter with plenty of snow was on tap but a majority of the fun will be January on word. I also don't think the rest of December will be a shutout for the sub but it will not be sustained Winter by any means. I made sure to take pictures of my outdoor decorations in the snow this week just in case our bad December luck of the past few years continues. Supposedly gefs shows strat warming in late December, which is a good sign.
Does anyone have the count on how many frickin times we have seen a sudden stratospheric warming event modeled that NEVER comes to fruition?

Finished with 4” here in Powell.

Changed over to a very light snow here in Bellefontaine about 20 minutes ago. Radar looks pretty anemic to me. Going to take a lot more than this to get some accumulations today
I believe the storm is in its infancy stages. It is supposed to intensify & slow down a bit. Time will tell....

WWA hoisted. Just can’t buy a storm that warrants a Watch then Warning. The drought continues!

Is buckeye still around?

Something thread worthy for eastern parts of the sub could be in it's infancy stages....
Believe it when I see it

Seeing quite a few mild outlooks so far. I guess it would be fitting for 2020.

Always look forward to this. It means we are that much closer. Probably another disappointing winter around here but one can always hope.

I think sometimes this is just a good stopping point for we poor, cloistered, snow forsaken Southern Ohioans. But to make it fit....chance to see some snow in the air next week. Why do negative NAO's only happen in non-winter months.
-NAOs always seem to be there in fall & spring!!! Frustrating

I don't know what's more surreal, no toilet paper in any stores in Columbus, or that it's actually snowing.
Seriously, if you want to get depressed, go to a grocery store. People walking around in a fog, no ground beef, no chicken breasts, no tp, and sections of empty shelves. WTF
Luckily got TP last weekend. Then my wife ventured out this morning to our GE & got pretty lucky. Got chicken, pork, milk, bread & eggs. There was no ground beef though. She also said they were literally stocking shelves continuously so things that she passed when she got there that were empty, were already stocked on her way out.

First confirmed case in Columbus, OH.

Right?!!! Us folks down here in the snow desert should change St. Pattys day to 12/25 and make Xmas in March lol.
There may be enough on the ground for the kids to go sledding!! Crazy!
