Once this heavy stuff comes through we get off and on light to mod precip and then a switch to snow tonight with a few hours of light snows overnight it appears based on HRRR. At this point I'd keep monitoring the hourly HRRR updates

well, one thing is sure, Paul was right with his prediction of the earlier change. I should have known better, we all know the warm noses aloft come in quicker then modeled. Still a lot of storm left.

mixing line is right at Ralphs doorstep and soon after mine.

That mix line is rocketing NE and will definitely flip snow to sleet from Wilmington through PHL soon.

Its most certainly sleet, thus the higher returns and the fact CC shows it pretty well. Remains to be seen where it will shift back to snow. Thinking just north of city for some time. The rates shown on radar will drop where it switches to snow.

HRRR continues to keep PHL snow through 1PM. It usually is late at detecting the warm layer aloft so let’s see what it does as we get closer.

0Z NAM is warmer at first, but then crashes temps as rates increase. All snow at PHL through 1pm (changeover for a bit just over the river)
